eq2 quest:Trials of the Truthbringer
This is the fifth and final quest in the Mithaniel Marr Deity quest line. It is initiated by speaking to Sir Bayden Cauldthorn in Kelethin.
Sir Bayden tells you about a Shadowknight working for The Faceless who is your equal, and who you must find and stop.
He is an Iksar Shadowknight named Thulelord Slazz Dralax and he now lives in The Estate of Unrest. Kill him for your update, and return to Sir Bayden in Greater Faydark.
Sir Bayden will then inform you that you must undergo three trials to prove your Courage, Honor, and Valor. You are given a Emblem of the Truthbringer, and instructed to proceed to a special instance called The Chamber of the Truthbringer which is located in Tunare's Glade in the south-eastern portion of Greater Faydark at -115,82,569 .
The Trial of Courage
Once you zone in, the first NPC you find will start your trial of Courage. Equip and hotbar your Emblem of the Truthbringer and use it to defeat several waves of wraiths that rush and attack you. They have names that are in opposition to Mithaniel Marr, such as weakness, dishonesty, etc.
Use the Emblem to defeat them without getting overwhelmed and you will pass your trial.
The Trial of Honor
Next is the trial of Honor. Travel farther into the cave to find Frupple Gobrick, a Froglok knight who tells you that his Emblem is broken and will not work. He asks to use yours to complete his trial. You need to deny him and answer no to every demand to preserve your own Honor and pass the trial.
The Trial of Valor
Your last trial is the Trial of Valor. An NPC will ask if you are ready, and once you start it, you are attacked by progressively more difficult waves of Knights until you are completely overwhelmed and die (apparantly you have to kill 4 of them to progress this stage of the quest). Do not revive. You will be resurrected (with no equipment damage) and Sir Bayden Cauldthorn will appear near you. Hail him to complete your quest, collect +10,000 status with Mithaniel Marr and collect your Cloak of Valor.
This completes the Mithaniel Marr Deity line.
