Prologue
Ahaadah : Good day to you, adventurer.
The passage over there leads to the Alchemists' Guild.
Ahaadah : Long have I practiced the art of alchemy, yet I do not find myself becoming bored.
It truly is fascinating...
??? : No! Lemme go!
??? : Stop that! Behave yourself!,br>
Ahaadah : Again, you come before me...
Nothing has changed since the last time.
Alcander : Please, won't you reconsider?
Alcander : This child has nimble fingers and would soon pick up the trade if he were to live at the guild...
Ahaadah : Yes, and he uses those nimble fingers to pilfer my goods!
Ahaadah : What have you done with those herbs and vials?
Tinga-Matonga : Ah, what are you gripin' about? It was just a bunch of junk anyway.
"Ah, what are you gripin' about?"
Mind your manners!
Tinga-Matonga : Who asked you!?
I don't need no stinkin' job!
If you love this place so much, why don't you work here!?
Alcander : I won't always be around to take care of you.
Try to understand.
Tinga-Matonga : I don't need no one to take care of me!
Stay out of my life!
Alcander : ...
I'm sorry you had to see that.
Alcander : You're an adventurer, right?
I've done a fair share of adventuring myself, traveling the world with my sword and my wits.
Alcander : It was no long after I arrived in Al Zahbi when I ran into Tinga.
Alcander : He had lost both his parents...
An orphan...
Alcander : I tried to find somebody to take him in, but every door was slammed in my face.
Alcander : So I decided to look after him for a time and found myself getting attached to the little scamp...
Alcander : I couldn't just leave him and pick up my adventures again.
Alcander : I was going to continue my mercenary work here and raise Tina as my own...
Alcander : But then I realized I could no longer swing a sword.
It seems I've contracted some sort of illness...
Alcander : The doctor says there is not much time left for me.
Alcander : Before I pass from this life, I want to make sure Tinga has some way to support himself.
Alcander : Well, you can see how well that effort is going.
He has no mind to begin a trade and is only interested in causing mischief.
Alcander : But deep down, I know he's a good kid.
Alcander : What do you say?
Do you think you can help out a fellow adventurer?
Alcander : I need you to help me turn his life around.
Alcander : Any time I try to have a serious talk with him, he just runs away...
Alcander : To tell the truth, I have no idea where he is most of the time.
Ahaadah : Quite the dilemma.
Perhaps I may be of assistance?
Alcander : !!!
Alcander : You would help us!?
Ahaadah : I'm not so cold-hearted as all that.
Ahaadah : The problem is how to draw Tinga out of hiding...
Ahaadah : How about we pretend to leave this elixir behind by mistake?
Ahaadah : Excellent.

Scene 2
Ahaadah : Hail! I trust I did not keep you waiting too long?
Have you brought the item I requested?
Ahaadah : (Play the part of a merchant. Just follow my lead.)
Ahaadah : Yes! This is exactly what I was searching for!
You've done well to obtain such an extraordinarily rare item!
Ahaadah : What's this? You say you have something even more impressive for sale?
Well then, my good merchant, lead on!
Ahaadah : Well, well. Look who decided to show up.
Ahaadah : Hey! Come back here!
Scene 3
Ahaadah : Aha.
Nowhere left to run.
Tinga-Matonga : What's wrong with you!?
Do you want my autograph that bad!?
Ahaadah : Spare me your witty comments and return the item you stole.
Tinga-Matonga : I didn't steal nothin'!
I just picked it up!
Ahaadah : Enough is enough!
You will return everything you've taken from my store!
Ahaadah : If you do as you're told, I might even reconsider the request to take you as my pupil.
Tinga-Matonga : That old junk?
I threw it away already.
Ahaadah : Threw it away...!
Why even take it in the first place!?
Tinga-Matonga : These saucers are from the Shararat Teahouse.
Tinga-Matonga : These clothes are from Imeeya's store.
Tinga-Matonga : And this carpet I got from Yazweel's place.
Tinga-Matonga : I swiped all this stuff in half a day!
You grownups are so pathetic!
Tinga-Matonga : Not that I need any of it...
Ahaadah : You little...
Tinga-Matonga : You got somethin' to say to me? Don't worry, none of that junk I just dropped was yours.
Ratihb : That's the final straw!
Ratihb : I've been lenient since you're just a child, but...

Tinga-Matonga : Oh, calm down already.

Alcander : What's going on here?

Ahaadah : Tinga has ruined all of our livelihoods.
Alcander : Is this true, Tinga?
Tinga-Matonga : So what if it is?
Alcander : Then you must apologize to everyone and give back all the things you took.
Ratihb : What am I supposed to do with a pile of broken cups!?
Yazweel : We don't need your kind around here!
Imeeya : You probably put the child up to this in the first place!
Alcander : I never...! How could you...!?
Ratihb : You're too sick to work and can't earn a living anymore.
Isn't that right, adventurer?
Yazweel : I knew you foreign adventurers were up to no good!
Imeeya : Take your sneaking accomplice and get out of our city!
Alcander : Very well.
I'll leave if that's what you want.
Alcander : But please, let Tinga stay.

Ratihb : That child certainly is a handful.
Yazweel : What are we supposed to do with him?
Ratihb : Who would take him in?
Ratihb : Especially after that adventurer set him on the wrong path...
Tinga-Matonga : You don't know what you're talkin' about!
Tinga-Matonga : Alcander didn't do nothin' wrong!
I'm the bad one!
Tinga-Matonga : Who was the one who looked after me when I was all alone?
Not one of you, that's for darn sure!
Tinga-Matonga : Alcander was the only person who ever looked out for me!
Ratihb : What the...!
Ahaadah : What's going on here, Tinga?
I thought you hated Alcander!
Tinga-Matonga : He's my best friend...
Ahaadah : If that's true, then why do all those terrible things?
You've forced him away from you.
Tinga-Matonga : I did it because I want him to stay with me...
Tinga-Matonga : I know he's really sick and won't be around much longer, so...
Taishu-Yaashu : Ghosts always come out at night, you know.
Tinga-Matonga : Why's that?
Taishu-Yaashu : Because it's scarier that way.
Ghosts only show up when they hate someone enough to stay in this world.
Tinga-Matonga : Is that true?
Taishu-Yaashu : Of course it's true.
They come back to haunt the people who hurt them in life.
That's what makes them so scary!
Tinga-Matonga : I figured if Alcander hated me enough, then he would come back as a ghost...
Tinga-Matonga : Then I could see him all the time...
Ahaadah : I see now...
You poor child...
Ahaadah : But listen to me, Tinga.
What you're planning is selfish.
Ahaadah : It means that Alcander must spend eternity feeling only hate and anger.
Ahaadah : Is that a fate you would wish for yourself?
Alcander : What's wrong, kid?
Alcander : Don't worry, everything will be okay.
I was alone, too, but now I've met you.
Alcander : It's good to have friends, don't you think?
Tinga-Matonga : I can't let this happen...!

It's too dangerous out there!

Ahaadah : Who knows what creatures are lurking beyond the city walls?

They can't have gone far.
