All tier-one troops receive basic training at boot camp. This training advances successful recruits through the early levels, moving the vast majority toward their promotion to tier two.
After earning enough merits to achieve level-five duty status, AFS Command halts advancement until troopers seek advanced training and declare their career paths as either soldiers or specialists. This normally occurs at one of our forward field commands, such as Alia Das in Concordia Wilderness.
Commando/Ranger or Sapper/Biotechnician
At level 15, your career path branches again as the third tier of classes becomes available.
Though tier-three instructors are available in several locations, you will likely be fighting in Concordia Divide at that time. Soldiers are encouraged to visit Foreas Base to purchase new equipment, receive full training, and enjoy some R&R.
Grenadier/Guardian or Sniper/Spy or Demolitionist/Engineer or Medic/Exobiologist
Troops of the highest standing are given tier-four distinction at level 30. Only tier-four troops can receive training from our most elite instructors. The washout rate for these technical certifications is nine times higher than that of tier-one and tier-two programs. Career paths for tier-four veterans include grenadier, guardian, sniper, spy, exobiologist, medic, demolitionist, and engineer.
If you achieve this honourable standing, travel to any major AFS base. Instructors wait to assist all new tier-four troops at that location, and soldiers can also procure suitable gear there.
