Delivery Service and Auction House MaintenanceJul 29th, 2004 at 5:36 AM by Haggan

We will be performing server maintenance of the Delivery Service and the Auction House to match the date of the world server maintenance. During the maintenance, Delivery Service (which includes all Delivery Boxes) and the Auction House cannot be accessed. Please remove all the necessary items from your Delivery Box, prior to the maintenance. The status of the following maintenance will be announced in-game. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and would like to thank you for your patience. Maybe they will add 3 more spots that you can put you items in the AH....well maybe.

Anyway, I wonder in detail what they mean by "maintanence"

Opening up the servers case by case and blowing all the dust out using Air Compressors. Also running system tools similar to Disk Defragmentor and ScanDisk.

Erm...correct me if I'm wrong, but that would be noted as Server Maintenance. I'm pretty positive delivery system/auction house maintenance would require a completely different routine (tweaking/optimization of in game coding [don't quote me on this, just a guess], etc).

The Auction House runs on a server of it's own (the Delivery System is also on that same server).

You simply won't be able to access these functions of the game during the time of this server maintenance. You won't lose your items at all. If you try to access your delivery box, it will give you a message saying "this function is unavailable at this time" or they may even make it the standard lagging out message.

They are just telling you ahead of time that you will not be able to bid/sell at the AH, or use the delivery service during the time of this maintenance.

First.... oh man!!! why!!
now I have to remove all the item from my delivery box!! (need more room space!!!)


and should I remove everything that I put on sell in the AH?
It seems to me ... that's the best way then.......

Errrr...why not just remove them ahead of time so you don't have to worry about it. Seems like the easiest way to me.
