CES 2010: Tritton Headsets Video

Even with the 3D revolution on full display, CES 2010 sported plenty of headset manufacturers showing off their wares. Dozens of companies were showcasing their audio products, each with their own particular twist on the latest in surround sound. Being the gamer that he is, ZAM's Mike B. aka Fony had to get in on the action and listen to the top ear-ticklers in the market. Right at the top of his docket was Tritton, the creators of the impresive AX Pro.

BFF Episode 13 - Huxley Beta

Ever since the MMO genre was first birthed in the form of the MMORPG, dozens of development houses have tried their hand at mashing new genres into the massively multiplayer online label. From the MMORTS to the MMOTPS, players have yearned for something different, something that breaks the mold. And the ZAM staffers are no different, so we jumped at the opportunity to try one of the more innovative titles that we've seen on the market.

Your almost infallible host, Mike B. aka Fony, jumped into the beta of the upcoming MMOFPS, Huxley, for Episode 13 of The BFF Report. Awaiting him in the game are dozens of "ugly chick" character creation options, above average FPS gameplay, and a whole lot of pwnage.

CES 2010: Dell and Alienware Video

Along with graphics cards, 3D screens, and other hardware finery, gaming computers were some of the headliners at CES 2010, and this year  ZAM's video frontman from The BFF Report, Mike B. aka Fony, was invited to the Alienware suite to check out their latest desktops and laptops. If you haven't been following the latest trends in Alienware computing, their latest push has been towards miniscule laptops - more along the size of a netbook - and they were showing off their smallest version yet.

CES 2010: LEGO Universe Video

Despite the fact that CES is more of a hardware focused show, NetDevil opted to set-up a booth on the show floor for their upcoming MMO, LEGO Universe. The response they received was amazing, and people were snatching up their free minifigs by the handful. To check out the latest on LEGO Universe, the ZAM staff and Mike B. aka Fony interviewed the title's lead producer, Chris Sherland, to find out the ins and outs of the upcoming game.

CES 2010: Turtle Beach PC Gaming Video

As the online revolution in PC gaming continues and implements itself into every title, more and more sound card and headset makers are appearing out of the woodwork. One of the oldest companies in the busines, however, is Turtle Beach, and the ZAM staff dropped by their CES 2010 booth to check out their latest products. Leading the charge was The BFF Report's Mike B. aka Fony, and he got the scoop on the latest PC gaming headset from Turtle Beach: the Ear Force Z1.

CES 2010: Samsung Monitors and Booth Video

Super thin products and 3D displays were the highlights of CES 2010, and the ZAM staff saw a lot of both at Samsung's booth. From their amazing "build-your-own" monitor set-ups to their unveiling of arguably the world's flattest TV, Samsung garnered a horde of attention from press and consumers alike. And we were there to document every piece of equipment for you to oogle at as well!

Funcom Goes Kid-Friendly with Pets vs. Monsters

Funcom announced today that it has established a new subsidiary named SweetRobot to publish its ventures into the social and casual MMO-gaming markets. SweetRobot's first project is the upcoming kid-friendly Pets vs. Monsters, a free-to-play game that's scheduled to launch in public beta later this month. A commercial release date has not yet been finalized.

Pets vs. Monsters is a casual adventure game for children ages 8-12 that allows players to explore different zones and collect various pets and skills. As the title suggests, the MMO will include some monster battles as well. You can view some screenshots in our gallery and a gameplay video after the jump.

Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas stated in a press release that Age of Conan and The Secret World will remain the company's primary focus, but they are excited to release their first attempt at an online game for a younger target audience.

BFF Report Episode 9 - Voyage Century

And the ninth episode of The BFF Report is up! If you're one of the crowd that likes to play free to play MMOs, then you're in for a treat as Fony moves on to Free to Play MMOs and starts with... Oh dear.

In Episode 9 of The BFF Report, after spending time in pay-to-play MMOs World of Warcraft and Champions Online, Fony decides to take a crack at one of IGG's free-to-play titles, Voyage Century. In the harshest BFF Report to date, Fony uncovers some of the worst gameplay mechanics he's ever seen, a bot in a pig suit, and then rides his own mother[censored] boat.
