October Version Update Has Hit the Shores!

 The wait is finally over! The October version update of Final Fantasy XI has arrived, bringing a bounty of new and adjusted content to Vana'diel! For those combat-minded individuals, brand new high-level Avatar fights have been implemented, and various job adjustments have been introduced as well! New synthesis recipes, adjustment to item yield for certain existing recipes, the adding of more Home Points in various areas, and other improvements to player quality of life have also been added. Perhaps most notably, however, is the addition of a brand new quest tying into the Wings of the Goddess storyline!

Quality of Life Adjustments

 The upcoming October version update of Final Fantasy XI is rapidly approaching, and Square Enix has several changes in store to make quality of life for players all the better! A significant increase to equipment sets that can be registered, brand new map icons for specific locations, adjustments to interaction in Mog Gardens, arcane glyph removal of job specific capes, and the ability to store Skirmish-related augmenting stones are all planned!

Job Adjustments

  Job adjustments are plentiful in the upcoming October version update of Final Fantasy XI. Several jobs will see their primary weapon skill ranks increased to A + levels, a number of revisions will be made to various job abilities and spells for jobs such as Warrior and Blue Mage, a brand new job trait to allow for Shuriken attacks during auto-attack for Ninja is to be implemented, new job abilities for Geomancer and Summoner are to be added, and long-awaited Atomos avatar will finally be made summonable!

New Wings of the Goddess Quest to be Added

 Though the events of the Crystal War and the events of the Wings of the Goddess expansion have passed, their impact continues to be felt to Final Fantasy XI to this very day. In the upcoming October version update, a brand new quest, "A Forbidden Reunion", is to be implemented, bringing forth a brand new story combining the Wings of Goddess storyline with the immensely popular Trust Initiative system!

Double Experience and Additional Seals Campaign

 Prepare to double your fun and have drops raining on you, for October 2nd is slated to bring two new campaigns to Final Fantasy XI! Needing to work on leveling a few jobs? From the 2nd through the 6th, the Double Experience Points Campaign will let you and your adventuring fellow level up quickly in battle, and through to the 16th, several Kindred and High Kindred Crest battlefields will yield additional items for those who have claimed victory against specific enemies within!

New High-Tier Battlefields

 The October version update of Final Fantasy XI is fast approaching, and today, Square Enix has unveiled the newest batch of high-tier battlefields to be added! In line with the other high-tier battlefields introduced in past updates, these will also be versions of older fights tailored towards max level, well-geared adventurers. This time around, players will be doing battle in the elemental Cloisters, facing off against more powerful versions of Ifrit, Ramuh, Garuda, Shiva, Titan, and Leviathan Primes!

The October Version Update is Coming Soon!

 Square Enix has announced that the next major version update for Final Fantasy XI is slated for an early October release! While specifics are currently unknown, players can expect new high-tier Avatar battles, a new Wings of the Goddess quest, job adjustments, and more!

Doctor Shantotto's Modern Vana'diel Practicum!

 Feeling overwhelmed by some of the changes that have come to Final Fantasy XI? Needing a crash course on the modern Vana'diel? Announcing the Autumn Alter Ego Extravaganza

 The ever-popular Alter Ego Extravaganza will soon be returning to Final Fantasy XI, bolstering your repertoire of Trust Initiative allies to even higher levels! Sakura, Ovjang, and Mnejing, special Alter Egos that debuted during the spring edition of the Extravaganza will be making a return, accompanying the three brand-new Alter Egos making their grand entrance during this event. Familiar faces to those who have spent time in the starting cities, adventurers will be able to acquire San d'Oria's Rahal, Windurst's Koru-Moru, and Bastok's Cid to join them in battle! The Extravaganza begins September 30th and runs through to the end of October, so be sure to get your hands on them while you can!

Alter Ego Expo Redux!

 The Alter Ego Expo for Final FAntasy XI has returned! Starting September 24th and running through to October 9th, players will find their favorite alter egos of the Trust Initiative more powerful than before, with maximum HP and MP increased by 50% and a strong resistance to status ailments implemented as well!
