Types of Adornments

Items can have a maximum of 2 adornments, as determined by their adornment slot. Jewelry will only have White, where Armor can have White and either Yellow, Blue or Red. Raid Armor has red, PvP gear has Blue, and heroic gear has Yellow.

White Adornments: Every non-ornate item has a White adornment. These are player-crafted adornments, and can be commissioned directly from an Adorner or purchased on the Broker.

NEW Prismatic Adornments: Added March 2015, these are white adornments that grow with you. They are made by Adorners from rare harvests. See: Primordial Adornments

Yellow Adornments: These are an extra adornment that you will find on instance and Mark armor. They are purchased in Paineel and give extra bonuses.

Red Adornments: These are essentially the raid adornments. They are better quality than yellows, and include class-specific adornments like spell focus effects, stance upgrades, and the type of stuff you used to see on Set-Armor bonuses.

Blue Adornments: The PVP version of yellow adornments.

Purple Adornments. These are the crafted Tears of Veeshan adornments. See: Adorner Guide.

Applying Adornments

To apply an adornment to something, right click the adornment. Your cursor will change color. Then click the item you are adorning.

  1. Items must be fully repaired before you try to adorn them.
  2. Items must be of equal or higher level than the adornment you are trying to put on it. It if says level 30 on the adornment, it can only be placed on an appropriate item that is level 30 or higher.
  3. Adornments are permanent. Once you place the adornment on an item, there is no getting it back.
    • Placing a second adornment on an item deletes the original adornment and replaces it with the new one.
  4. Any stat changing effects from an adornment will display on the item in blue text. Any proc will be listed in the proper spell effects section on the item.
  5. Every adornment is targeted at a specific gear slot - no trying to put an adornment for an ear slot on your bracelet.
  6. Not all gear can be adorned, even if you match up the level and slot correctly. Any item flagged "ORNATE" cannot be imbued.
