Kaerellun is the matron goddess of deceit, secrets, intrigue, and diplomats. Her symbol is a hand with puppet strings. Kaerellun is worshiped by those who wish to deceive, keep secrets, or manipulate others into doing their bidding. While evil, her methods are useful to diplomats for good, or so they say. Kaerellun took over as head of the pantheon of evil when Haelufir divided his power amongst his dragon children. Kaerellun is simultaneously an enemy and ally to almost every other deity. Her web of lies and secrets is so complex that it is said she has trapped herself. Kaerellun and Vaelion are engaged in a rivalry. Kaerellun keeps secrets, while Vaelion reveals them.

Kaerellun teaches her followers to be coldly calculating in their manipulations. Those who worship her are cunning diplomats, often able to contort the will of others to their whim. They are no strangers to deceit and duplicity, considering them to be among their most useful tools.
Her followers will rarely declare their intentions outright, preferring to cloak their motives behind a veil of secrecy. Similarly, they are wary of open combat and instead lurk in shadow inciting others to violence.

Relationship with Other Divine Beings
Kaerellun is simultaneously an enemy and ally to almost every other deity. Kaerellun and Vaelion are engaged in a rivalry. Kaerellun keeps secrets, while Vaelion reveals them. The wills of the pantheon members are far too strong for Kaerellun to control. Because of this, she has a very tenuous relationship with them. Eons ago, during the period of Alurad's greatest influence, she attempted to bend Alurad's mind to her will. She failed miserably. To this day, the other divines still mistrust her. Alurad blames her for his repeated failures to unite the pantheon under a common banner, so their relationship is especially strained.

You caution, "That is how the road always begins, Elder Penna. Ask yourself if anyone will get hurt that you don't intend. Then ask yourself if this would serve the goddess' purpose."
Elder Penna takes a breath and says, "Yes... yes. I see now. The Queen of Shadows is likely wanting me to lie so that... another decision... will happen differently."
