Hi Wint, really appreciate you guide here. The interpretation of the clues received during fishing is really detailed. Just like to add a few more several observations made during my beta fishing career:
a) Often different types of fish are available at different depths. The oysters and crayfishes can be found nearer the bottom which make sense. For tutorial quests tho', they make the target around mid-deptyh so it's easier for beginners. If no fish bites after a couple of takes try changing depth.
b) I always wait after a nibble but always jig after a bite. Out of maybe once in 12-15 takes the fish nibble twice and get away, but the rest of the time they always bite after they nibble.
c) Finding the right angle to jig is an intelligent guess. If the guess is right the rod shines and gives a "twin" sound. If I guess 30 degrees the first time and it was not right I try 280 degrees and so on to narrow the field.
d) the sweet spot can be anywhere. Somtimes it's in the middle. The jig-o-meter is a pendulum with a slight delay in response. Once I get into the rhythm it's easy. Say if I want it to stop at NW, I must hit the button when the swing is in the west, and if north is your target you need to fire when the swing gets to NW.
May the Puller's Goddess bless all of you with great catch. I hope I can catch sharks soon. :D
