It's not necessary to kill Lord Lyfyx however. If you don't relish pain, you can say to him "I want your scale" and get a quest for it.

You only take VS faction hits from the spiders and the named mobs in Kaesora. You can drop straight down to the area behind the library and essentially avoid VS faction hits. A good strategy I have found is to bind fairly near the sarnacks castle on the left side of the zone border when facing north. You really need a map of BW to see what I mean.
No sarnacks or other mobs stick to the left wall, as they do to the right. You could bind a ways before the "neck" of this |

for Paladins hunting the plague sharks, here is the skinny:
sit at the dock and wait for the boat to come by. Every 2 hours the boat will be followed by the plague shark. If you see the shark, attack it immediately and pull it opposite of the direction the boat is facing. If you go the other way, |

In the South West corner of the desert there is a Bandit camp. It is a three spawn with a fourth out in front (at the tip of the gully). Druids are the best for this camp because they have Harmony, which allows them to solo it (and we all know that soloing is waayyy better exp and loot).

Spot #4 on this map is a cave with various sorts of Frogloks that are VERY easy to fight one at a time and often drop fine steel. I used root-dot-med on the warriors and snare-porcupine-nuke on the caster froggies.

A rogue and monk make a great combo for getting to and holding the efreeti camp. None of the imps or guardians can see a sneaking rogue, so they can wait for all wanderers to clear before making clearing pulls.
