| OK I'm going to hate myself for this..but the orc scoutmen in CB spawns near/in the slaver caves. Do not know what triggers him but it is a LONG wait between spawns. Went hunting in nek today and found 10-12 orc scouts...none dropped ulna, got killed by the gaurds, the WHOLE deathfist lego camp AND | ||||

| I used to think the same thing. Then I tried the DarkElf Necromancer newbie quests and got the Writ of the Fallen (another book) Stats: AC+3, Sta+5, Int+5, Magic Resist+2, Fire Resist+2, Cold Resist+2, HP+10, Mana+20 Given the distribution of saves plus the AC, I think its a tie between this | ||||

| I waited until 14th to get the bracer, and even then it was a tough battle. I got lucky and started with a nice backstab, then just wailed on him until he died. | There are still wisps around, just hard to find. I have yet to see an ulna, and I camped the scoutsman all day yesterday. I did read that while this was still only on the Test server, the ulna never showed up. I wonder if they ever fixed that or not. | ||||

| okay so i read this page and i took someone's advice and camped the scoutman, i just got off after killing him for like the 10th time which equates to 10 hours of camping him. | I'm glad to see Verant finally give the wood and high elves some decent newbie armor quests. When I started my halfling rogue, they had the Slickfinger armor quests. | For arms you have a few choices. Blood Ember sell for about 800pp on my server and have great AC till they work at lvl 46. Also Darkforge and Sentient are good chices for less than 500pp. Worked Dragonhide is good as is Crusty (but low AC). But at lvl 13 I was in Bronze and felt good about it :) | ||||

| sick of everyone complaining about these, jeeze, as atianax said the woodelf armor gives tons of stamania and good str to make up for it, and i'm sure thats the case with every other newbie quest, if one part sucks, another parts good. | ||||

| I got this last night on my Shadowknight, but why did they make this thing no drop when the much better rogue and monk weapons from this zone aren't? By the time a war/pal/sk are able to hunt in the caves, they will easily have a better 2h weapon. Edited, Tue Jul 30 13:34:36 2002 | ||||

| I would also add that as a shaman with the various levels of Cannibalize, this becomes a mana pump. Put this on, cast chloro or regrowth on yourself, change into bearform and you've got as much as 15 health from the tunic, 10 from greater bearform, 10 from regrowth, plus 3 from sitting. That adds up | ||||
