This news item should have gotten put up a week ago when I got the e-mail, but I'm a slacker. Machinima, for those not familiar with the term, is essentially a video created within a video game engine.


The Ataris, Blizzard, NVIDIA and Machinima.com are proud to present and sponsor this exciting contest where you will be able to show off your music video skills in World of Warcraft.

You will be able to select and download one of the three new songs from The Ataris. new album "Welcome the Night" and then create a music video for that song using World of Warcraft.

Blizzard, The Ataris and Machinima.com will select 10 machinima music videos from all of the entries. We will then allow the worldwide community to vote and select the top three winners from the 10 finalists. The contest is open to anyone 18 or older with Internet access.

    *  1st place: NVIDIA GeForce series graphic card plus an autographed copy of the "Welcome the Night" album and poster.
    * 2nd place: NVIDIA GeForce series graphic card plus an autographed copy of the "Welcome the Night" album and poster.
    * 3rd place: NVIDIA GeForce series graphic card plus an autographed copy of the "Welcome the Night" album and poster.
