Hate to rain on the parade. I have 10 accounts and multi box. I have to wait for the complete packages to come out. Last purchase was Platinum. I have 10 accounts still at 10 expansions. At least now I only have to spend 19.99 for each to catch up vs 29.99 for each expansion.

By the way, Did anyone notice that the Anniversary edition at 19.99 is right below the Buried Sea expansion for 29.99. Please tell me no one bought BS instead of the full set!

What SOE has done is take any chance we have of selling a second account.

When I bought the software as a true fan of EQ, I paid $49.95 for the initial game and $20-$30 for each expansion x13 expansions.

I love that SOE is trying to get more people involved in the game. But that should devise a way of making it up to the Loyal EQ players too.

Buy 13 Exansions at full price (like I/we did) get the next 7 free. Something anything is better than gutting us like this.

First they made it legal to sell accounts, then they undercut us on price.

Boo! /ALE

Since I started Playing EQ...Back when Luclin launched this topic of ex-packs has been a sore subject with me. They come out ever 3 months or so...some times a little longer, it's just an estimate.after paying the 30.00 dollar price they launch a combine pack for 20.00 dallars.. I think SOE should rename this expansion to "I didn't get bloody ripped-off paying for expansions edition"..this is just my opinion...Have fun with this if you don't have all the x-packs...if you do sorry about your luck...as for me I'm waiting to get behind like 6 x-pack then buy the "You're a total cheap-skate Edition"

lol
Where, oh where

I have not seen this in stores. Would very much like to purchase as a gift, but can't find any. Where, oh where, are they selling this?

So I have a question. I have all but the last two expansions. If i get this new $20 box set, can I load it onto my already existing account and get both of the new expansions? I tried it earlier when titanium came out and may have just done it wrong, cause it didn't work then. Thanks for any comments.
well i was wrong

Glad I waited

I'm glad I waited for this everyone was telling me to get TBS once it was out I wait until maybe something like this happens. Plus waiting you don't die as much cuzz everyone knows where stuff is and you don't have to go bind looking for spots. It don't matter whn you get it just waitin makes it all worth it. Sorry to everyone that ot ripped off $10 by down loading it. I made the mistake and acidently down loaded TSS hitting the wrong button glad I had the money to pay for it. Sony needs to work on that order stuff and let you go threw the credit card stuff instead of once you click it you got billed. Well that's my 2 copper.

The 8 or 9 CD pack is already one day behind in deliver to West Coast Stores.
I personally am glad they did this release as too many were done online in digi download and no way to redo our systems if we had a crash or bought a new system without LONG LONG hours of downloads. Now you can load your CDs and have most of it done fast then the updates online.
Not happy having paid 30 bucks plus tax on one account while this is only 20 bucks plus tax for all 13, but such is the way it goes.

I used to wait for all the box versions

I used to wait for all the box versions

But, I doubt if this verion has 15 CD's in the box insteed of one CD and the rest down loaded off the web.

I hope there is a in game manual but I doubt that maybe a line saying to use the on-line manuals.

I doubt if their is a map but a line line saying to use the on-line maps.

Truth of the matter the Box sets never included the current Expation so this is a big step up. Since we cant get another server merge I am hoping this brings back more to the game even at level 1.

Excellent!

This is great news and a fantastic way for everyone missing an expansion or two to get caught up. New players entering the game will be fun as well.

Additionally, some of my friends are going to be very excited, as they have burned through the dreadfully easy BC content in WoW's release, are presented with another reason to return to the challenging game called EQ.

Thanks SoE

Most of you who are fuming probably fumed around the release of Titanium edition. Do not complain. If you honestly don't like it, send emails to SOE customer service expressing your discontent. You will accomplish nothing but make an *** out of yourself here. Most people don't like scrolling through posts about how much someone hates something like this. If you don't like the expansion/want to spend the money, then don't, but don't start ranting because you're cheap. If you already bought all of the expansions, like me, then awesome, you're ahead of the game, don't complain how everyone can now get up-to-date. I personally hate the fact that half of my guild refused to buy TBS because of costs. The guild banner and fellowships would have cut raid setup times in half in most cases.
good for getting new players in

Dear All,

I for one have already bought all of the expansions at full price, and dont regret a moment of it. I am not fuming at all. I got my money's worth of enjoyment and recreation. And I am glad that now some of the newer zones may be more populated with under 70-level players...more opportunity for grouping. Most of my rather small guild had not been able to afford the addtional expansions. Now most will.

I think most of us knew this was coming (there were announcements, including here), so the only downside was that many did not buy the expansions in the last month or so since the announcement.

So whats not to like?

Cheers!

The only reason for this, especially this soon, is because Sony knows that LOTR Online came out today also. After playing the Beta, I can confidently say that Sony will lose this bet.

The fact is, LOTR's BETA VERSION played smoother than EQ ever has, and Vanguard is a complete disaster. The emphasis on questing, freshness, and ease of play make LOTR a clearly better alternative. Once you learn all the keys, it's just flat-out a lot more fun.

The distraction of this multiple-set offer is going to be extremely short-lived. For now, LOTR is going to run circles around them all. The only question is if they can continue it. I know that the free expansion in June and promises of more free expansions is a winner on my budget.
Rip off

I have not complained about Sony before...but this gets my goat...I'm on dial up...rural area no alternative...I did not count how many hours of my EQ time was wasted in downloading TBS...only to find it was available on disc less than a week after downloading it (remember all the fixes)...this is not customer service...this is total disrespect...
meanwhile...

WELL will wonders never cease....a digital download of the all inclusive expansion...perhaps the servers will repopulate for a time and maybe their next step to will be to bring zek into the blue fold and allow more pvp on all servers....add some excitement

Actually I would be happier if they eliminated PvP completely - it only breeds contempt and cheating...

PVP players depend on their ability to bully and intimidate others and to coerce others in their cliques to do the same, in order to have fun online.

Giving ppl freedom to roam in Anarchy on the 'Normal' servers is not my idea of player cooperation, respect, assistance, or heck just plain fun.

Sabotage, deceit, announced or unnounced death threats, and other tactics to force someone to stop playing online, steal their possessions, or intimidate them into quitting is not in my play book for Everquest.

If you have a serious concern about a player and his conduct, then report it to a GM and let them deal with it. The whole idea of revenge and paybacks for despicable conduct is not why I enjoy EQ.
