- In an earlier panel about WoW lore and quest design Blizzard Creative Director, Chris Metzen, commented about how the blood elves are completely addicted to magic. This mana/drug addiction extends into both their abilities and some of their quests.
- An encouraging sign we've seen is that the mobs we were fighting appear to be entirely new character models.
- Finally, there are a few other elements coming down the pike for the next few patches. Weather is finally coming to Azeroth -- which should make a nice change from the perpetual sunshine that rules over the world now. Or perhaps not, as Dabiri promises "rain, snow, and sandstorms like nothing you've ever seen."
- Overall, the Blood Elves are definitely the 'pretty' race for the horde. When you jump as a BE male, they start to spin (right shoulder forward) like an ice skater. My native trollish loathing of everything elves writhed in horror. Class options for warrior, rogue, priest, mage.
- AQ will require a world event to open. Both sides, alliance and horde have to complete “stuff” to open the gates. Once they are opened, then they are forever opened, it’s a permanent server change. All level ranges will be involved, as there will be supply gather and processing quests for the lower levels, and stuff ranging the spectrum. One side and/or the other will have to gather the four parts to a scepter to open the gates. It will take the average server 3 weeks to open it. If nobody does stuff, eventually the gate will open on its own.
