no theres an idea

does anyone know how to replace the gun firing sound, with the firework sound ?

it would be awesome if firing my gun made the firework detonation noise when I pull the trigger...:D

I could cope with the fireworks noise if it wasnt such a random, 'duck-an-cover-the-VC-are-comin' kind of noise... I get all sorts of Vietnam flash backs and I'm not even a Vetran of that particular war.

Somewhere in Windurst Waters there's a taru with blood-shot eyes hugging his knees and rocking back and forth because the damn fireworks last all night every night and he hasn't been able to sleep in a month.

=THEY CAN'T TURN IT OFF!=

Officials at Square Enix are in a panic this morning. Hamazu Okinawa, Chief Button Pusher #1, has come down with the flu. Mr. Okinawa's job at SE was to push the button that ended Summerfest for the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XI.

The rest of the staff is left confused and befuddled as to what the next course of action should be. If someone stepped up and pushed Mr. Okinawa's button for him- his job would be rendered useless immediately. And Mr. Okinawa had promised to take the staff out for sake when he got back. The staff fears if they became responsible for Mr. Okinawa's job being taken away he wouldn't be too inclined to hang out with them anymore.

Doctors have ordered Mr. Okinawa to rest in bed, drink plenty of fluids and not return to work until the 22nd. In response the staff at SE has decided to extend Summerfest until his return- so they can get drunk on Mr. Okinawa's tab.

Maybe I'm crazy, but is the stupid music and repetative booming of the fireworks just becoming a constant annoyance... I was looking forward to this being over... Thanks SE.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I look forward to the awesome music! The only thing the music needs is maybe some more cowbell. You can never have enough cowbell. I have a fever, and the only prescription ->> more cowbell.

This is good news to me, wasn't looking forward to the festival ending yet.

But still, one must wonder exactly how "by popular demand" a thing in FFXI can be extended? They don't have an e-mail for these type of things in particular, they certainly don't have official forums to comment on, and most NA aren't a fan of the festival so it can mean only one thing...

The JP Button on the hidden site, far too pure for dirty American eyes to see! Suddenly it all starts to make a bit more sense!

NOOoooooo!!!!! atleast i can get my tarutaru dress+1 and chocobo tickets :(

I heard something about Chocobo racing between cities yet I have not found anything in-game indicating a race event. Any news on this or is it just a rumor? Agreed, the music does suck and you would think they might change it a bit from year to year.. As far as the fireworks go, if I play in an area that has fireworks for any length of time I do one of two things. I turn the volume all the way down or get my Tylenol ready. Just turn your sets/speakers down, problem solved. The swimgear looks hawt on the babes but on the guys it's kind of... ahem.. foppish. I really never wanted to look like a Hooters girl in my short shorts. I'm afraid if I bend over or take a knee in them my "goldfish bowls" might fall out the bottom. Anyone want some wings?

Why? Why must this go on? How many deaths by insanity shall happen before end this madness?

The taru race are now eating galka due to this. The other day I ran into site and it was horrific. Please SE put an end to this and save lives.

How can i be expected to put up with this festival any longer? I've been trying to farm saruta for the longest time...the first couple weeks were ok, but now it's just starting to eat at my brain...fireworks....music....gah...must kill
