Of COURSE they want German speakers.
Not Germans... German Speakers.
The people representing them will have to be able to speak to the people going to the event.

If it was a North American event, they'd be asking for people who speak English.

Square Enix are currently looking for volunteers to work as our official FINAL FANTASY XI event staff at this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig. You should be over 18 and be knowledgeable about FINAL FANTASY XI. Visitors will count on you to learn how to play the game and more! Perfect German with good communication skills is required and some English skills are a good plus.
