Monk Epic Riddle Solution
Here's the solution.
First I'll repeat the riddle:
"As an embittered old Iksar king lay on his deathbed, he decided that a race would determine which of his two sons would inherit the throne. The sons were told to sail ships across the Timorous Deep. Because the king didn't particularly like either of his sons, he decided rights to the throne would be given to the son whose ship reached Faydwer last."
"So the sons set sail and drifted on the ocean for many months, waiting for the other to reach Faydwer first. When the king finally died and the kingdom was in trouble without a ruler, the sons agreed to dock and seek the advice of a monk living on a secluded isle. After listening to the monk's advice, the two sons got back in the boats and sailed for Faydwer as quickly as possible."
"Considering the monk would never betray the wishes of the Iksar king, what was the monk's advice? "
The Answer?
"The monk told the sons to switch boats."
