WildStar Drop Four on PTR
Carbine shares info on its next big content drop, giving the players more of what they've been asking for.
The Carbine Studios team has been hard at work on getting new and interesting WildStar content out to its fans. Players on the Public Test Realm have already had the opportunity to test out some of the upcoming additions and features making their way to the game, but for those who haven't, the team is revealing a little of what current and returning players can expect to take part in.
Making its way to the game when Drop Four releases is the new low-level training dungeon, Protogames Academy. This dungeon is designed to help new or low level players practice team mechanics that will ultimately help achieve higher success rates in the more difficult dungeon encounters. Also being added for low level players–or those just looking to take a peek out of curiosity–is a new level six Shiphand Mission that takes players to the unexplored reaches of the Halon Ring.
The more experienced heroes out there will be happy to hear that a brand new max-level dungeon, the Ultimate Protogames, will be available to partake in, as well as max-level Veteran Modes for all of the existing Shiphand Missions for solo or small group players who are looking for additional challenging and fun content.
Players can also expect to see other various features and improvements coming to the game including:
- An enhanced LFG tool (which now includes Shiphand Missions)
- Random queue bonus rewards that have been added to group finder
- Improved Dungeon Medal System
- New player customization options
- 20-player group size requirement (down from 40) for the Eldergame raid, Datascape
WildStar Creative Director, Chad Moore, expressed his thanks to players and encourages them to check out the upcoming content on the WildStar PTR.
"I hope that hearing about this new content gets you excited about all the things that are happening in
WildStar, and I would encourage all of you log into the PTR and get a sneak preview. As always, we want to hear what you have to say about the game, so get in there, play and send us your feedback. We've done a lot of work, and have a lot more planned for 2015. We are fully committed to this game, and to the players – like you – who make it great."
