If you've got Xbox Live Gold, you have a new game (or two) waiting for you!

To improve the perks of Xbox Live, Microsoft now offers free games (and discounts) on a monthly basis. Seeing as it's October 1st, let's check out what they're offering this month!

"Chariot ($14.99 ERP): Available from October 1-31 on Xbox One"

Chariot was only released yesterday/today, so that's a really neat freebie. Is the game any good? We don't know! Microsoft describes it as "an indie platformer with a colorful, spirited theme." Here's a more detailed description that paints it in a fun light:

"Chariot is a humorous, physics-based couch co-op platformer in which a brave Princess and her Fiancé carry a funeral wagon through ancient caves, fending off swarms of looters while amassing riches, to bury the King's remains in a worthy, gold-filled tomb. If only his majesty would keep quiet..."

If you're still enthusiastically enjoying your Xbox 360, you might have an even better deal coming your way. Xbox 360 Gold subscribers get Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (88) and Darksiders II (83).
