If a Frog goes FD, does it make a "splat" sound?

I really would have liked to see Iksar berserker in the bracket against Dark Elf ranger (prior to the final) to see if the traditionalist vote is what swayed this. I totally expected DE ranger to win this (but don't mind that it didn't). Neither finalist combo is that special since obtainable illusion items allow you to fake either.

I can accept that they don't want to invest in programming cloth armor models for the big races, nor add the missing class animations (I don't even know which these would be to be honest, but it keeps getting said). Lore is fluid... a clan of Rolfron Zek Worshipping Dwarves that are every class is perfectly reasonable if the story is told.

So what I wonder at this point, is what future combos are possible without adding models/animations?

all/all Iksars, Frogloks, Humans, Drakkin, High Elf, Erudite, dark elf, gnomes
no robes: ogre, troll, vah shir, halfling, wood elf, dwarf, barbarian, half elf

Animations... I don't know the "problems"

Need evil lore* to add necro/sk: high elf, vah shir, wood elf, barbarian, dwarf (arguable with thurgadin studying all). half elf evil lore is partly in place. Note: I'm not saying I want evil barbarians, just that I see that as a story/lore hole if not done before adding classes.

Need good lore* to add Paladin, druid, ranger: Troll, Ogre, Iksar, Vah Shir

*there's deity shortcuts though.. so much cazic thule lore of late why not have that result in all/all iksars and evil erudites (paladin, cleric of Cazic Thule)... arguably less twisted than dark elf rangers that aren't serving a good deity (who do the unkempt druids worship?)

**I heard on the one pvp server back in the day Vah Shir could be Karana? as they had deity set teams or something? Anyways, Vah shir need some faith to be clerics, SK and such... could always add Luclin as a goddess now that she is revealed.

I'm gutted my Drakkin Beastlord (Dragonlord) wasn't considered, with a mini dragon as a pet ;-)

Nether the less, a race will be on when the time comes to be the first new WE Bst to reach 100!

I am looking forward to creating a WE BL as soon as it is live. My only concern is whether the treant might be too difficult to work with in tight quarters, and if the Fay Drake might have been a better choice.
The Dark Elf ranger never felt "right" to me.

I am not at all surprised by the comments disparaging the vote; similar comments can always be found when a vote goes the other way, and folks are not getting what they believe to be the right result. I am in agreement regarding Gnome Monks being desirable, and I have been waiting for this option since I first read the EQ comic some 9 or 10 years ago. Equipment is not the issue, since you were offering the choice of a Gnome BL, and it would be similar gear. I am guessing the difficulty of coding the varied animations (Gnome flying kick, anyone) is the problem. Hopefully someday the option will become available.

i for one think if you was to create a whole new class you would bring back the players from the past and will incourage more to join our eq community,EQ needs something new,imo its a new class :)

be nice if you could buy races, often wanted an Ogre Rogue be nice for stun resists. The way eq is now might as well make evey race open to every class and let us have two mercs at once.
