Royal Club (China)
Royal Club had a rough year early on, but fought back to claim their spot. In China's Regional Finals, Royal Club made an amazing comeback from the loser's bracket. Defeating OMG in the grand finals, they claimed first place and a direct spot in the World Championship quarterfinals.

SK Telecom T1 (Korea)
SK Telecom T1 arrived in the World Championship after beating out KT Rolster Bullets by 3:1 in the Korean Regional Qualifier. Although they had a back-and-forth series with NaJin Black Sword in the semi-finals, SK Telecom T1 is in good form heading into Friday's grand finals.
