League World Championships Viewing Parties!
Don't watch the World Championships alone, find your local Viewing Party.
First we had BarCrafts (StarCraft), then we had Pubstomps (DotA) and now we have Viewing Parties… which I guess is a more family friendly name? They need to work on the naming of that, but who cares. Why sit at home watching when you can meet local gamers and watch together? Careful though, it might not be a good idea inviting the world to your house.
Riot is bringing the community together for the World Championships, to defeat the stereotype of nerds sitting alone in their basements. Organizers have been putting together viewing parties across the globe and now Riot is putting together a map to help you find the closest meet-up and will be providing registered (free to register) parties with sweet loot!

The best teams in the world have been competing in the group stages of the World Championships over the last few weeks and Gama Bears (SE Asia), SKT T1 (Korea), NaJin Black Sword (Korea), Gambit (Europe), Royal Club (China), OMG (China), Cloud 9 (NA) and Fnatic (Europe) have just concluded the quarter finals. The Semi-final games are set to take place in the Galen Centre Friday/Saturday (27/28th) at 20:00 PDT, 23:00 EDT and 05:00 CEST. The second semi-final game starts later at 12:00 PDT, 15:00 EDT and 21:00 CEST. The two winning teams will meet each other in the Grand Final the following week (Oct 4) in the Staples Centre, but only one can lift the Summoner’s Cup (even if it takes all five members to do so). There is also the matter of $1,000,000 first place prize, but it's all about being World Champion, right?
