Age of Wushu Expansion Launched.
Snail Games expands their Wuxia-themed MMO with Legends of Mount Hua
It’s barely been four months since we took our first look at Age of Wushu, and Snail Games is already back with its first expansion. Launching today, Legends of Mount Hua includes a server-wide PvP competition and massive 80-player battle arena. PvE players will have a new story to journey through, and an 18-player dungeon with three different story modes.
Based on the Wuxia style of martial arts fiction, Age of Wushu offered a distinctly different feel to other MMOs, with a strong PvP ethic. That focus continues in Legends of Mount Hua with the introduction of a huge server-wide competition. In the Mount Hua Competition, the very best will fight it out for the chance to win legendary titles, prized costumes and the fabled Heavenly Sword.
If big brawls are more your style, the Youyun Sixteen Area Prefectures Battle Arena is a massive 40 vs. 40 battleground, complete with optional objectives and several different ways to win. And if you need to bring in a few new recruits to fill out a team, the new Martial Brothers System will help new players to power up quickly under the guiding hand of a mentoring veteran.
Instance explorers also have something to look forward to in Legends of Mount Hua, in the form of Yanmen Pass. Based on historical events, this 18-player dungeon offers 3 different storylines of increasing difficulty.
Rewards are becoming that much sweeter too, with the introduction of Jianghu Factions. Gaining fame with the various factions and NPCs will open up new titles, items and costumes, as well as access to new missions. You might even be able to persuade one to join you in an instance, or deliver a lethal blow to one of your enemies.
Legends of Mount Hua is a free expansion to the original free-to-play game. A retail edition is available from Gamestop, including a unique story featuring Jet Li and a number of bonus items.
As part of the launch, Snail Games has joined forces with ZAM to offer some cool in-game items. Go to our giveaway page to find out more.
