Wargaming Unites Accounts
Wargaming announces new Unified Premium Account system
Soon it will be even easier to enter the fray with Wargaming as the online gaming behemoth has announced the Unified Premium Account service.
Players who purchase a Premium Account in one game, such as World of Tanks, will have that account applied to all Wargaming titles, including whatever future games the studio currently has firmly hidden in its camouflaged sleeves.
In one of the phases of open beta for World of Warplanes, the UPA will officially launch and free credits -- equivalent to in-game gold -- will be available for players to purchase their UPAs.
By the time World of Warships hits open beta, players will be able to earn bonus credit accrual to apply to all three vehicle-based action strategy games.
Never lacking in ambition, there is a clear vision for the Wargaming stable, as explained in the press release today:
“The Unified Account is the next step in our goal to fully connect all of our gaming titles into one living, breathing ecosystem,” said Andrei Yarantsau, VP of Global Operations at Wargaming. “Giving our players the benefits and convenience of having premium features carry over through all of our games is something that we feel will be a tremendous value to them and truly enhance their gaming experience no matter what title of ours they play.”
