WildStar's new Character Creation theme music from Carbine's Jeff Kurtenacker

The last few weeks of WildStar Wednesday posts have brought us quite a bit of new lore about the Dominion and other aspects of the world of Nexus. Awesome for lore aficionados like myself, but lore only makes up part of an engaging world. You need visuals to grab your attention and pull you into the world as well as music to immerse you in what's going on. This week's WildStar Wednesday is all about the latter as Carbine's Jeff Kurtenacker, WildStar's composer, brings us the latest piece of music we'll be hearing once we get our hands on the game.

The song you just heard is WildStar's new Character Creation theme. For many players, this will really serve as their introduction to the world of Nexus. Well technically you'll have the log-in screen music and anything that plays over all of the user agreements that usually come up, but this is what's going to stick in your head while you look through all of the races and classes to make that perfect first character.

If you'd like to hear more of Jeff's music, head over to the WildStar blog. He's had a few other posts since the game was announced and one of those even has a couple songs you can download for yourself. I'm hoping we can see some songs tailored to the different races in a future post from Jeff. Partly because it would be interesting to see how the music meshes the mysterious world of Nexus with the attitude of the different races, but mostly I just want to hear a Granok drinking song.
