GDC Registration Deadline Looms Large
Register before February 13th for the best value
The Game Developer's Conference is inching ever closer, and even as it does we're still learning about great new content being added.
First and foremost, the deadline for early registration is almost here. If you're planning on going, you'd do well to register online before February 13th. After that date, the price for a full conference pass will jump by at least $500, and even more if you wait to buy it on-site.
Once you're all registered you can look forward to tons of content, including these sessions just announced:
- Rethinking How We Build Games and Why: The Papo & Yo Story. Attendees will learn how to use their own personal stories to inspire interactive narratives and provide growth or meaningful takeaway.
- Your PR Is Broken: Journalists Speak Out. Alec Shobin of Fieldrunners developer Subatomic Studios will moderate a diverse panel on helping PR get the message out. Scheduled panelists include Ben Kuchera (Penny Arcade), Alexander Sliwinski (Joystiq), Eli Hodapp (TouchArcade), and Dan "Shoe" Hsu (VentureBeat).
- An In-Depth Look at the Sound Design Choices and Technical Solutions in Hitman: Absolution. Mikkel Christiansen and Frans Galschiot Quaade of IO Interactive discuss how they created an audio engine from scratch for the Glacier 2 proprietary engine in Hitman: Absolution.
ZAM will be in attendance at this year's GDC once again, bringing you all the emerging gaming news. If you're going to be there, let us know!
