League of Legends offers gifting to friends for the first time

Holiday festivities aren't limited just to MMORPGs you know -- MOBAs are people too!

Riot Games is kicking off its annual League of Legends Snowdown Showdown in Valoran with a slew of new holiday-themed skins and limited edition runes. Greater Quintessence of Sugar Rush, anyone?

But wait, there's more!

For the first time ever this year, you can now gift League of Legends goodies to your favorite summoners. And this isn't just limited to the Snowdown shwag -- you can also gift champions, other skins and RP too!

There are a few limitations such as no re-gifting (you can't give away old stuff you already have) and you can only send a gift to someone you've had on your friends list earlier this month. Other than that, feel free to gift away!
