MvP (MLG vs Proleague) Day One
A round up of all the Starcraft II action from the first day of battle
Series V Rain P versus Ilussion T
Game I
Rain and Illusion, who have both experienced great debuts in the Starcraft II scene, begin their MvP Invitational debuts on Daybreak.
Illusion opens with a highly aggressive fast medivac timing with stim that is designed to fight on multiple fronts to test the Protoss’ multi tasking, but Rain is on top of everything catching the medivacs en-route to the main with his observers and deflects a hellion run-by with inch perfect force fields.
Illusion then moves into a siege tank marine push with some amazing positioning, placing them behind the mineral line of the forward fourth base. This gives them range to hit anything that aims to deflect the pressure towards the third base but is eventually cleaned up with minimal damage.
Both players then trade armies back and forth in the middle of the map but Rain’s constant Zealot pressure onto the third base of Illusion is always going unanswered and Illusion loses the majority of his SCVs.
Rain takes a 70 supply lead as Illusion is starved out and forces him to walk down a corridor of storms and marches to victory.
