Traversing Telara 18: Gutter and Quarrystone Basin
Anmar seeks the Talon of Maelforge, but the goblin chieftain Gutter stands in his way.
This quest involves walking alongside the courier and making sure he doesn’t die. Not as easy as it sounds, because along the way we are attacked on many occasions, usually by two troglodytes at a time. (Plus the occasional ram who wants to get in on the fight.) But we make it through and while doing this I move up to level 20, and receive something called Doubleshot, a skill that gives me the a 10% chance to fire off an additional shot when attacking with my bow and arrow.
Thedeor
Thedeor, the god of war, is an ominous, frightening figure, a massive warrior clad in intricate plate armor and gripping a massive two-handed sword that normal folk wouldn’t be able to even lift. He is the god of Justice, defending the weak and the helpless. To pay tribute to Thedeor one must be brave, willing to sacrifice your life for the greater good. On the flipside, he is incredibly unforgiving when it comes to cowardice, and he will cut you down if you profess to worship him and flee from the field of battle. He is the God of Swords, and you worship him knee deep in blood and battle.
Thontic
And finally, we have Thontic. Thontic is something of an enigma, and he is worshipped by a surprisingly wide variety of people. He is known as the God of the Sea and the God of Mystery. Spies worship him, travelers pray to him when they are setting out on long journeys. As do scholars, and those who study the mysteries of magic.
Even those who uphold the law bow down in occasional prayer to Thontic when they are trying to solve a crime or track down a murderer who has gone into hiding.
