I hate the little skirts attached to the ranger armor and my friend's gnome looks ridiculous in a kilt. think they are trying to put other race's armor on people. the leather looks like plate and the chain has plate attached. soon you won't be able to guess what class is on the field. thanks, but i like my regular armor just fine- i'll sell you the ones that drop for me though. we got some in VOA just yesterday.

why do you think only low level toons can get this?

seems to me there is a major misunderstanding or maybe just an inability to read. 10+ toons means all the way to 95 guys. come on- why on earth do you all seem to think you have to be level 10 to get the armor? It has been dropping in HOT and VOA and even Oceangreen. You getting xp means you need to be just above the level of the mob. no need to make a low level toon to do this.

Just goes to show that people don't comprehend what they read. Nowhere in any of the info put out by SOE does it EVER say that you have to be low level to get the armor.

OMG. That armor is absolutely hideous. SOE must be really desparate for the cash. I can't say anyone will be desparate to get this armor though!

Some told me my caster toon was the best looking football player on team. That hat graphic looks like something I've seen before.

I totaly agree. Someone really dropped the ball this time. It looks rediculous. I'm not paying for that. I'll take looking the same for the rest of the game thank you. eesh!
Disgusting looking armor

This has got to be the worst thing I have seen S?Oe do since beta in 99 when we were all block looking toons. The designer for this should be taken out back and buried alive cause the bullet cost would be more than the time they spent coming up with this idea.

Soe please take this completely out of EQ and send it back the the ****** at WoW.

all of this armor is hideous. Who thought this was a good idea? Why not devote this time into upgrading the archaic graphics engine.

Who designed this armor? It really looks terrible!! I am sure that there are programmers out there who can make armor that actually fits the characters and doesn't make them look so ridiculous.

please note that of this time the trivial-loot code is in effect, or rather a modified version of it.

instead of mobs needing to be simplyexp-giving, they must be dark blue /con or greater to have any chance of dropping Hero's Forge gear.

Not calling BS on this, but would love to see your source or any evidence of this. Just cleaned house in WoS trying for an epic drop and didn't see any of this drop. Did you read this from SOE forum or is this based on personal observation?

Trivial loot codes is definitely in effect. Another SoE snafu or another money grab?

1: Which types of accounts are more likely to have low level characters? Free & Silver.
2: Which types of accounts are allowed to set up a trader? Gold.
3: Which types of accounts have an unlimited platinum limit? Gold.
4: Which accounts are permitted to Send items via Parcel service? Gold.

Yes, the stuff is positively hideous to boot!

I cannot believe that people actually think this way.

First, Hero's forge (while I agree is hideous), is free to gold accounts to those with patience. Ya, you gotta wait for the free station cash every month, but it is not a game breaking feature you absolutely have to have now.

Second. Get off your butt and fight "non-trivial" mobs to get the items and quit your whining. Leave the trivial mobs to some newb that may actually want to fight them for experience.

It boggles the mind that this has escalated to this point for people to be such babies about a GAME.

and third - you don't need a low level toon to fight a mob close to your level- if you are 95, try VOA.

excuse me, but where do you see that the characters have to be low level? we were getting them in VOA - definitely not a low-level zone. will you please be sure of your info before getting everyone in an uproar? YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A LOW LEVEL TOON TO GET THE ARMOR- YOU ONLY NEED MOBS A LITTLE BELOW YOUR LEVEL!!!

Apparently you are not familiar with what the Trivial Loot Code actually is.

Trivial Loot Code means one will not find a drop on a mob unless said mob grants experience.

Level 10+ mobs drop the items ONLY if the character killing said mob gets experience.

That means that Viridan, Ebon, Beryl and possibly other of the most recently announced Hero's Forge cannot be obtained by higher level characters UNLESS they either buy it in bazaar or trade someone for it or make a low level character to obtain is.

Hence, the conundrum presented.
Low level characters are, more often than not, on Free or Silver accounts.
Those accounts have limitations which make the ability to sell unwanted Hero's Forge items extremely difficult. Add that those self same accounts both have platinum limitations and both of those self same accounts have restrictions on creating vendors and on using the Parcel service.

Result?

Either those with Gold accounts have to create low level characters,

or

Free and Silver accounts have to go Gold to be able to use a trader and/or Send items via Parcel and to lift their platinum restrictions so they can actually trade the item for platinum. By the way, the ridiculous prices I have seen for Hero's Forge in bazaars on at least three different servers all but automatically precludes a Free or Silver account from either buying any or even trading character to character at the going market rate due to the platinum restrictions on Free/Silver accounts.

Hence, SoE snafu or money-grab?

GEE - I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS MISQUOTING. Since when does level 10+ mean only low level toons can get it? that means everyone form 10 - 95 has a good chance of getting armor- and that lower levels are not excluded as the first were.

Since my point seems to have entirely flown over your head, let me try it in really small words.

IF a Free or Silver account gets any Hero's Forge that they cannot or do not want to use, it is nigh onto impossible for them to sell it without jumping through hoops. They cannot make a trader. They have platinum limitations. They cannot send items via Parcel. (meaning they either have to go to the buyer or the buyer must come to them AND, be mindful of the platinum limitations). They do not have shared bank.

Hence, SoE snafu or money grab?
