In both size and ambition, there is no doubt it is the biggest change to Firefall in its development so far. Red 5 Studios' VP of Development James Macauley outlines the  array of changes in a new dev video. Class changes, core combat changes, progression changes and more are explored.

A lot of fans have already been impressed by the game even before this new iteration; undoubtedly Red 5 is hoping more gamers looking for a break from swords and sorcery will jump aboard.

Will this make you a Firefall convert? The interesting setting -- which is a refreshing change from fantasy or dark sci-fi -- and fast paced gameplay means it's certainly worth a look.
