Gods & Heroes Head Start Patch Notes Released

The pre-order head start for Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising kicked off on June 14 and runs through June 21, and Heatwave Interactive just posted its first batch of head start patch notes. They've squashed some bugs regarding estates, combat, quests and more. You can read the patch notes after the jump and submit your feedback in this thread on the official forms.

Head Start Patch Notes

Headstart runs from June 14th through June 21st 2011 for US/Canada and June 17th through June 24th 2011 for UK/EU. If you wish to give feedback on our Patch Notes, you can do so on the Patch Notes Feedback Thread in our Community Forums.

Estates

  • All references to player’s “camp” have been changed to Estate
  • Player will no longer be booted from their estate while joining or leaving a group
  • Horse statue has been taken out momentarily
  • Tunic of the Gods (XP promo tunic) quest can be given in the Estate by an NPC named Gannon. He can be found near the village by the lake. This is only for people who have completed the quest for the Tunic prior to 6/15. Gannon received his name from our Community Member named Gannon, in thanks for troubleshooting with our team one-on-one to discover what was causing this issue. Thanks Gannon!

Combat:

  • Groups are now awarded exp correctly
  • Boss monsters can now use their special moves against targets that are moving
  • Mobs killed while stun now fall down dead
  • Mobs killed while stun will now fall down dead
  • Mobs that are stunned should no longer just stand around after stun duration expires
  • Added a pursuit give up timer

Quest Fixes:

  • Xarot the pirate respawn time has been decreased on Telchinos Island
  • Reduced the number of cages that need to be destroyed in the Telchine Temple after you leave Telchinos Island

Itemization:

  • Money auto looted when a mob is killed will now properly display in chat console.
  • “Hesperia Magna” changed to “Italia” on the world map
  • Radar map now shows all NPC’s in range, not just those in front of player
  • Chat window fade control set to default = off
  • Players wielding ropes will not have broken character windows now
  • Loot is now correctly awarded to player after winning a lotto
  • Added nifty features to the TextWindow such as:
    • HOME and END support
    • Shift + arrow keys to highlight
    • Ctrl + arrow keys to move a word at a time
    • Shift + ctrl + arrow keys to highlight a word at a time

General:

  • Fast Travel Statues added
  • Zones that were really dark at night should now be lighter
  • Gamma option added to Display Options > Advanced Visual Quality Options
  • Added some crash-prevention improvements and better aligned most of the UI titles for windows.
  • Made more improvements to the client to reduce the number of random crashes during gameplay and on startup/ shutdown.
  • The Beta Welcome window has been removed.
  • Fix for server crashing and losing quest data.

Known Issues:

  • It is known that people are having trouble re-creating names they used during open beta. We are working on a resolution.
