Memorial Mania Starts Tonight!

Redeem any SOE Pre-Paid Station Cash Card and get TRIPLE Station Cash!

SOE's Memorial Mania Player Appreciation Event starts tonight! The event runs from 12:01am Pacific May 27, 2011 through 11:59pm Pacific May 30, 2011. During that time redeem any SOE Pre-Paid Game Card and receive triple Station Cash!

According to Tiffany "Amnerys" Spence (on the EQII official forums), this promotion is only for Station Cash. Any card that offers Station Cash is eligible, but must be redeemed for SC. If you have the All-In-One card that works for SC or 30 days, you must redeem it for SC or you'll just get 30 days added to your account. It will not triple the subscription time. Offer valid for SOE pre-paid game cards only; all other payment methods are excluded.

See this knowledge base article for more information on Station Cash purchase and spending limits.

This non-event event is a major annoyance.

Point 1 ...These cards are difficult to find at best.

Point 2 ...Why should it matter these cards have visibility in a retail environment. If SOE sells them direct from the SOE store the profit goes 100% in the hands of Sony. The cards sold at retail would have a portion of the cost go to the retailer (Unless Walmart has become a non-profit company in the last few days)

Point 3 Alienating a large number of SOE gamers with an offer that is useless is not a great idea. (Considering the recent PR of the hacks and downtime)

The only thing I can suggest to all those others who are also unhappy with this sort of treatment is do as I'm going to do. Never spend another dime outside of basic subscription again.

Chappy

nice ...

Nice of them to exclude anyone who doesn't have a local outlet that carries SC cards .... It would have been a WAY better promotion if they had included in-game SC purchases as well.

There are some good companies online that you can purchase the card from and they provide you the code - accredited by the BBB

They want people to go into the stores, they want the stores to see those sales of SOE cards so it looks like a lucrative option. The promotion is as much for SOE as it is for the players.
