Fear not, as the staff at ZAM is very happy to announce that Square Enix is offering ZAM members another chance to get into the FFXIV Phase 3 Beta with this quick and easy giveaway!

To enter, all you need to do is post in this thread and answer two simple questions.

Rules:

The deadline to enter is next Wednesday, August 11 at 9 PM Pacific. You may only enter once. If you do not answer the question or post off topic, your post will be removed. Winners will be randomly drawn and notified via email after closing.

1. I shall be a Hyur Lancer/Dragoon residing in Limsa Lominisa.
2. Why? Because the city is militaristic and seems to fit a mighty Dragon Knight :D

To those of you upset, please just calm down. Square Enix caused the delay, not ZAM. We extended the giveaway until the 14th to accommodate this.

What will your first character in Eorzea be and what nation-state will you start in? Why?

1. I'll start as Wildwood Elezen in Ul'dah
2. Why ? Because nothing's more unique than a giant desert :)

I'm creating a Miqo’te and use the home city Grindania. The reasoning is that's the closest to my Mithra from Windurst back in ffxi, and I'm looking for a fresh start in a new world.

1. I'm going start as a Midland Hyur in Ul'dah.
2. I guess it is just because I feel more connected to a character similar to a human. I want to start in Ul'dah because it feels similar to Bastok from FFXI. I also want to help out with finding bugs so the final version can be at its best.

I am going to start out as a Hyur Marauder in Ul'Dah.

Why? Hyurs are closest to humans, and I wanna be one :O. I mostly become a Marauder because I want to tear things to shreds. I may also want to tank, since I have never tanked before this may be a good time to start and learn.

1. I will start out as an Elezen alchemist in Ul'dah
2. Why? In my opinion, Elves are more fond of nature and are upper class than most races. Taking care of nature is most important.

I think im going to start off playing the Hyur because I played the Hume in the last Final Fantasy MMO. It was cool to make him look like me and i like how the race was really balanced. Also I want to start in Gridania because it sounds woodsie but still have that city feel!!

Roegadyn Gladiator, just be a big *** gladiator and chop people's heads off left and right. And smolder my own armor from fallen enemies crushed leg guards and chest plates.
I live in Limsa Lomsina because of its high popularity in blacksmiths which will suit my profession.

I need a beta key to chop me off some heads.

I will start as a Midland Hyur in Ul'Dah, mostly because I like to play a somewhat neutral race (I was Taru way too long in ffxi). Also I see Limsa Lominsa becoming the Sandy of ffxiv, and I prefer to start in a less popular city so I'll keep away. I'll start with a marauder to try and go dd.

I want to be a part of the beta because I played ffxi for almost three years, was a beta tester for several other mmos, and feel I could contribute a lot to moving the game forward.

I want to be in the beta to help make the game better. I am also planning to play this with my wife, and she really wants to see how it is. I am an engineer and have a very analytical mind for trouble shooting problems.

Definately a Miqo'te Archer (And Culinarian) starting in Limsa Lominsa. Really like the look of that city. I played FF11 for quite a while, and it seems like they've really improved a lot of things for this one. I'm really excited to see how they did.

What will be your first character in Eorzea be and what nation-state will you start in?

Right now I am leaning towards starting as a Wildwood Elezen Gladiator in Limsa Lominsa.

Why?

The Elezen race looks pretty cool weilding a sword and they seem fit to be a tank type race. I was also a 75 PLD in FFXI, so I would love to keep tanking in FFXIV. I will choose to start in Limsa Lominsa because of the awesome scenery and because the city is placed in a central location in Eorzea.
