ZAM's Create-a-headline Contest Winners Announced!
Congratulations to Johngabriel, Valostar, Yarrnath, Phaydrane and Stalkeristic for their clever headline titles!
It's Monday folks, and we've got your winners for ZAM's Create-a-Headline Contest! One of the most prevalent themes users took into consideration when submitting their headlines was to find that perfect fusion of that witty headline with something they really, truly, wanted to learn more about. Whether it was some desperate hope for more information on Aion's Vision trailer to a real desire for news on the latest... manecuts, everyone had something to offer! Unfortunately, we had to pick five of our favourite headlines to award these 12-month magazine subscriptions to, and it's all come down to this! So in no particular order, here are ZAM's top five Create-a-Headline winners!
"Asmodian Manecuts - Hairstyles don't stop on your head" - johngabriel
How awesome would it be to be able to get some fashion styling for your unruly mane? Elyos need not apply!
Arieluma: Aion Lingo and You! - Valostar
When we saw this title, it just felt like it should have been a real book or magazine headline! New Aion players often have difficulty understanding some of the Aion-specific lingo that's present in the game (so many requests for guides on what rifting is!), and this title communicates that need perfectly! We're learning even while reading the title! How cool is that?
"LFP - A singles guide to the best party places in Sanctum, Pandaemonium, and the Abyss" - Yarrnath
Quite simply the perfect blend between word play and utility. Not only is Yarrnath able to talk about his desire to find out more about finding good groups for exploring Altreia, but he also makes a clever double-play with lonely players just trying to find those hip-hopping parties in the Abyss! Are you single in Pandaemonium?
"Tanking Affairs - 10 Ways to keep a Templar coming back to your party" - Phaydrane
Somewhat less of that clever wordplay than in the above headline, but Phaydrane backs it up with a topic that everyone takes for granted, but nobody really seems to know too much about. Good group dynamics and properly supporting your tank is one of the fundamental aspects of Aion, and if this was a real article... everyone should read this! There is also, of course, that subtle (perhaps unintentional!) word-choice of tanks going to different parties if yours just isn't that good (hence, tanking affairs!).
"Lapia Hasia, Bacora Triora: A Rhyming Guide to Gathering" - Stalkeristic
What more can we say? Rhyming in the native Aion language? Information on gathering? Did we mention... in rhyme!? Perhaps we should hold off on the reward until Stalkeristic can write out that whole rhyming guide to gathering first but... maybe for another contest!
And those are the winners, folks! We've sent all of these five individuals private messages via ZAM's PM system, so if you see your headline up here, but you're wondering how to contact us, be sure to check your PMs! Thanks to everyone for entering this competition, and we hope that you'll keep coming back for our future ones! Fly save, Daevas, and to our winners, fly safe with your new wings and magazine subscription!
