Blizzard Launches Account Security Awareness Page
Blizzard launched a new account security awareness page today in an attempt to help players keep their computers safe and avoid scams. The page contains information regarding Blizzard's commitment to security, a security checklist, details on the various types of account thefts, and instructions on what to do if you get hacked.
Blizzard's top suggestion on its security checklist is to get an authenticator. You can buy the keychain for $6.50 through the Blizzard Store, download it for your iPod/iPhone for free, or buy one for your Java phone for $0.99. You also get an exclusive in-game Corehound pet once the authenticator is attached to your account.
