MALIBU, Calif. - Dec. 11, 2008 - Abandon Interactive Entertainment today announced Part-O-Matic 3000 and Penguin Hockey, two new free mini-games to support the launch of the upcoming cross-platform massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, Freaky Creatures. As part of the Freaky Creatures ever-expanding online universe, the mini-games give players a sneak peek at the upcoming title's various characters. Part-O-Matic 3000 and Penguin Hockey can be downloaded and played for free on the game's Web site, http://www.FreakyCreatures.com.
Part-O-Matic 3000 is a classic match-three game with a freaky twist. Players start with a Freaky Creature that is missing parts and weapons and must match three or more same-colored tiles to unlock the corresponding parts. As players complete their creature, they move on to the next level, unleashing a total of ten Freaky Creatures.
Penguin Hockey allows players to manipulate Cyclopor in a classic game of air hockey. With the added pleasure of using hapless penguins as pucks, players use two well-timed clicks to swing Cyclopor's stick, sending the defenseless penguins across the ice and beak-first into a snowy wall for points.
Freaky Creatures is an upcoming MMO game on a reusable USB flash drive that comes bundled with two collectable action figures. Players take their action figures online and build their own ultimate, customizable creature and battle against friends. Players can socialize and interact with the Freaky Creatures universe by building their own teams, posting leader boards and stats and playing mini-games. Starter packs will be available in early 2009 for $19.99.
