Where did you guys see 3 hours extension? I anly saw Maintenance Completion is on Friday at 7:00 AM EST.

I think this happened before the maintanece It happened at 4:00 am (early in the morning) on the 20th. I was on that early and I seen the message. I a mountain time so it was at about 6am est time zone. That's is like 6 before the maintence occured. Quit ********* jesus christ. I don't know if it required people to logout or not, I logged like 20 minutes before the scheduled time for it to begin. I would assume so, but the message was different than most maintanece messages I have ever seen. Just thought I'd shine some light on this mystery, since people think this is occuring after the maintanece.

10 hour mantenance ends... like 1 and 1/2 hours later, they beging a 3 hour emergency mantenance... I understand the need to fix problems, but jesus... thats 3 mantenances in a row... wtf?

I rushed home to play, was an hour late so i figured I'd get right in. And then this bullsh!t. Blizzard never has problems like this, SE needs to just leave ffxi the f@ck alone, or do it during *** time. We pay for a month .. and they've taken at LEAST 24 hours to "maintain", I want my free day.

if your tired of their crap, then stop playing the game. your paying money, and if you don't like it, then stop paying your money. sure, i don't like it either, but i find other things to do with my life when the servers are down, then sit here and complain about it.

Well it is a halloween festival and SE decided to Trick us instead of Treat us. everytime there is an update something goes wrong its like SE highered dumb people! I waited all day to get on to get my items and SE kicks me after spending gil and getting nothing but stupid costumes XD!

anyway what I meant to say is remember a little more than a year ago before CoP came out they had a whole bunch of extra maintenance going on...with another expansion pack coming out its to be expected... although it is very unfortunate that this extra down time is happening ><

all the down time is crap and i feel we the people paying to PLAY should be refunded at least part if not all of our monthly fees when it comes to the down time being more then half the time like it has been lately!

It is SE's job to keep the servers running 24/7 and thats what we pay for so why is it all we get are ******** aplogies when what every one really wants is a refund!

If other companys (Phone, Cable and others) can give prorated refunds for lost service then why shouldn't SE?

Step up SE at do the right thing! and stop shutting down the servers on just american play time and at least rotate between service times so EVEN japan can lose a whole day of play as well!

I said my piece and i hope others join in and complain to SE so they know we are pissed! (and ready to sue!)

real intelligent, your going to sue, a multinational company over a lost day of play time that cost you $0.42..
please tell me that there are some mature people who play FFXI and can stand a little down time when actual maintinence is required.. would you rather them allow you to play on unstable servers and risk loosing your character which you put 100+ days into cultivating? i think you'd be a little bit upset if that were the case.. some people do nothing but complain no matter what is done to apease them..

OK i waited patiently the 10hrs. I get on and score a Trick Staff II [hp+1/mp+1/warp] and a Pumpkin Head II [emity+1]. Thats a big bounus for me. Well after a while i see 3hr down server time. WTF SE? Now i cant take this no more i want to rip the head of the jackass that dose server time! This is ********* I should of stayed on Lineage 2. Less crap there...

I sugguest (not sure if they already do this) that they play the game themselves and test any bugs in the system to make sure the different things work.
Another one would be probably to start letting people on by servers. Asura has 15 minutes to log on, then 15 for Caitsith, Sylph, Ragnarok, so on and so forth. This will probably decrease login clogging, but the last group would probably have to wait another 3 hours before they could log in.

Looks like emergency maintenance from 20:20 to 23:20 (11:20 to 2:20am for us east coasters)

SE took 10 ****** hours to do the dem maintenance but they still didn't get their job done. This shiet happens almost everytime to me. The best part is that I can't even get to download the update which may take another 2 hours for a small size of download.
Their download system truly sucks. We pay their asssss and they can't even get their job done. Best part is that they want our money in the same of each month and they love to extend the dem maintenance most of the time. I mean come on!

I was delighted when maintenance was not extended, only to have my bubble burst by three more hours of surprise downtime... are we sure this is the Halloween event and not April fools ;)

disclaimer: I'm not complaining, just making light of an unfortunate situation, so back off :)

Ok lets get it straight. SE takes 10 hours to fix a few minor problems, and yet they cause more which extends the time by another 3 hours. Thank you for ******** with my day. I get to play maybe a little in the morning and mostly at night after my kids are in bed, was hoping to complete G3 since i was in the mood. Now i have to wait until tomorrow cause i dont stay up til around 3 in the morning. I miss the good ole days where they had a 2-3 hour update a month for clean ups, now its hey this weeks 10 hour update is coming, but in secret we are gonna take 12-14, and we apologize, yet we keep ******** up. Take your updates and shovem. if your gonna plan a 10 hour update. Tell us it will take 15 that way you have room for error...

Blah ever time i'm off work they do maintenance this is the most maintenance i've seen in one month i wonder if se is being attacked by DDos or it's all bologna lol, and the whole "hey this is SE first mmorpg" is so tired that was 3 + years ago come on SE get some good Techies too many ppl play this to let it all slip away hope phantasy star will be good might give me another option ><

just got on, checked the Auction house, and began seeking pty, only to find a brand new server message! It said "emergency maintenance", but i assume it really means "we are incompetent and the first maintenance didnt work soo...enjoy the next three hours of this new maintenance". Or something like that.

It seems to me that with every update there is a time that it will be finished as well.... Well I would rather that there not be a time to long back in or "completion" as SE put's it; just we you can get in you will get in I not longer rely on the time of Completion!!!! Pffftt.

They just announced in the game that they're going back to work on the servers in a couples minutes (20:20PDT) and they'll be down for the next 3 hours.
