My wife read a little story in the threads of her guild (Oasis Covenant, Bristlebane) about a guy who lives close to Verant, and saw some techies hanging out in a local bar/restaurant. I would kindly ask this gentleman, shoud he see these men, sharply dressed in thier EQ Polo shirts, madly scowling at the world...KICK THIER ASSES, all of them, and repeatedly please. Continue the beatings after each consecutive patch that messes up EQ again(there will be many) I'm certain they will comply with thier livelyhoods demands, or quit, hopefully to be replaced by someone who knows what they are doing.

come on people I have been waiting 12hrs now and have crashed everytime I had to ctrl+alt+delete out of the EQ patch trying to connect and i'm still here waiting and not going to give up =)
sh*t happens just hang in and it will be up in no time. They are trying there hardest to get us back online even tho it doesn't seem it they are =) so hang tight =))

Okay I forgot to mention something in my first post, heres how to make the patcher work if you are having the IO file error or lost internet connection message.

1) Cancel Download after you recieve either error message (dont close it, just cancel it)

2) Find the file that was downloading when the error message occured, you need to find it and delete it, in many cases there will be 2 files, one of them will be a winrar file, there might even be 3 of them, you need to delete every single one.

3) resume download until a mess up occurs again, then just do as step 2 told you and continue.

I dont really write on these, but i got nothing better to do, after playing thru 3 playstation games, i am even more bored so i am writing here, =p

I was wondering if anybody gets this messsage "3D device not found" after everything downloads fine and you click PLAY? Lord knows I have a 3D device!

It took me two hours, but I finally got the damn thing to patch...just keep clicking the icon and restarting your comp...(and make sure your directory is not read only)
