Every time they do maintance it starts right, before I wake up. Ends roughy hour to two hours after I begin work. I think they are watching me writing down my work time and making it so I cant play till I get home. ^^ jk jk :0)

I'm glad that the updates here are actually worth the time waiting for them to get done. And, unlike other people have stated, I believe that the devs are catering to us the NA players more than the JP in these maintainences- 9-5 PST is a normal working day for most, give or take a few hours the further you go- heck, even the atlantic coast will be able to get back on at around 8PM, which means time to get home, eat/shower, do something productive around the house, spend time w/ family, etc. I'd also like to remind people that the maintainence schedule was altered FOR NA players, well specifically US players, due to Labor day? This "They cater to the JP players because they are biased towards their own people" crap needs to stop. Someone prove me wrong when I say that their are more NA players than JP and EU players (combined)in these servers. If SE was as money grubbing as some people believe, then they would cater to their largest base, to keep more players happy so they keep playing/paying.

reading everyones complaints and reading everyones comments keeps me occupied during maintenece...by the way Anyone want to do Eco-War Asura servor tonight :)

I Thank God for these mantinces becuase I know my money (acctually my parent's money) is going towards something in the game to make my gameplay better. Now in SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) the game servers were down every morning for 1-3 hours, and nothing would get done, the game was buggy and lets just say it sucked. A 8 hour mantnince once in a while is nothing, like other have stated above GO DO SOMETHING ELSE... its not the end of the world its not going to give you cancer if you can't play FF11 for 8 hours, you will still have FF11, your character, your money, your quipment, your friends, after a measly 8 hours of downtime is done. If you have nothing else to do I'm sad to say you have no life, and you need to get something else to do becuase this is just a game its not your life.

This seems to be an update for POL and not FFXI >.<;; So no new stuff

You guys are nuts, how do you think we get a new item or 2 after each maintenace. Think about it, I am going to be so happy to get back on and see what happens. Think about it, 8hours that could mean a buttload of updated mob's, item's, NM's, HNM's, Equipment, Quest's, Etc. It seems that after each maintenance the game only gets better so 8 hours could bring us a massive load of updated crap and stuff we haven't even heard of so be happy:).

I already got used to it, so, I always expect maintenance to come up now. Yup, I will only say this, if you live in US East Coast, or EU, never expect to be able to play on mondays, before 9pm EST. Sincerely, Maintenance is almost ALWAYS scheduled this particular day of the week, at this time.

Don't ask me when I want maintenance to be done, but, to me, from 12 am to 6 am EST is the perfect time for a maintenance to be done at. (I work night shifts, and go to college, at the same time). Of course I expect my available time to really ***** up the rest of the world's, it's karma. Me vs the world. ^^ lol.

Everyone complains that PLayOnline schedules it during N Amer prime hours and says to move it to like 3am-11am....

Those are my peak hours, =P lol
All you need is a cup of coffee and your all set.

I personally dont care about them doing maintainance. my complaint is they alwasy seem to do it during NA time, never during JP time.
