Details on Current Known Issues (Dec. 13)

Since the implementation of the latest version update on Dec. 12, 2005, several gameplay and system related issues have been discovered. Solutions to these issues are now being tested. Players will be informed as soon as solutions are finalized. The following issues have been discovered: - The list of rewards for the "Waking Dreams" quest did not appear properly. * This has been addressed during the Dec. 13, 2005 3:15(PST) area maintenance. - If the beastmaster ability "Charm" is used on a monster while the monster is disappearing because it was outside its normal radius, the monster may become invisible in some instances. * Although the pet monster may appear invisible, it will act like a normal pet monster. - The help message that displays under "Party" within "Seek Member" in the main menu has not been updated to accommodate the change after the version update. => The resulting list is functioning as stated in the update details. Following is an additional information which was excluded from the Dec. 13, 2005 (JST) Update Details: - Wyverns will now have the equivalent of the job trait "Subtle Blow," reducing the amount of TP gained by opponents from the wyvern's attacks.

What now, BST is now party friendly with the use of jug pets, ohh wait that's what SMN and DRG are ment for, BST was meant to be a solo job.
Me personally, i never like playing BST (because i couldn't do it). But now people have to have like 6 BST in a party using Jug pets to fight stuff.
Why fix what is not broken?

BSTs are more vocal about their nerf then RNGs, that's for sure ;)

Everything points at the fact that SE knew Leave would be weaker post-update, since they improved Reward and removed exp penalty on jug pets.

The reason they never even mentioned this in the update, is further proof that the Leave/exp-penalty loophole was never intended, and deemed unwanted... possible because of upcoming new jobs and changes to existing pet jobs (SMN and DRG)

Ths is exactly how I saw the changes. I've been concentrating on bst for a while now. I only reached the point of getting "Call" 45 minutes before the shutdown for the update so I don't have a feeling either way on the nerfing of leave. I admit there were times when I temp logged to "ghetto" release something for the equivalent effect so I could charm it again at full health and will have to break that habit now.

I see the changes not so much as them fubaring my beloved profession but them trying to get us to use every skill we have equally. Cuz lets face it our previous ability to just cut a pet loose and wait for it to heal itself and charm it again rendered use reward and call pointless and unused outside of "emergency" situations which was obviously never intended.

I'm going to repeat myself a bit just to make my point clear. Since the new anti MPK measures stop us from using being able to frivilously use leave to our advantage they added regen to reward and removed the xp cut from juggie kills so that our chamred pets and juggies will live longer and we have more reason to use call and less reason to use leave so much

amazing... they don't even point out they messed up Water Spirit and Thunder Spirit? thats a kinda big/noticable one!

unless it changed since I went to sleep >.> havent been on FFXI yet

Ok yeah some of the stuff is cool like the fact that the reward ability is also a heal and a regan but whats with the charm thing now i cant charm a pet fight a mob further away and then leave the pet let it heal while using another and then recharm afterword cus they disapear. I mean come on thats the bst best tactic when lvling. sometimes mobs that are low enof for you to charm arnt near the ones u fight so you do that tactic, so what if people are mpking deal with it u winers, now bst is gimped for soloing, i mean u could just make it so that mobs that bst can charm that arrgo just wont arggo till they are back into there origonal zone. why make them disaper so that the bst can use that mob agin in battle less he travels all the way back were he charmed it in the first place which might be threw many baddys. ok ive said what i wanna say.

There is nothing wrong with leave..... how do you think ppl feel when BSTs are "EXPing" and they "LEAVE" a pet by your pt?? An Example i was in Garliage Citidale at lvl 50 we are fighting beetles, bats, ect.... The bst is charming bats and fighting the bombs there he leaves the bat and hits it with another bat. The previous bat then comes back thru our Pt and aggros while we are fighting a beetle.... the BST dies... guess where the bomb goes... right thru our pt and aggros.. hince we have to escape... so in my eyes there is nothing wrong with leave.. guess there gonna have to learn how to get a PT.

Hmm... Suprise Suprise, nothing mentioning about the issues with the 'LEAVE' ability. FIX THAT SE! And dont play dumb, I know ive already emailed you about it so you DO KNOW ABOUT IT!
