Le /sigh, maintenence is maintenence, the poor Euro's ; ; but seriously, if anyone here thinks we complain... you should see when there is an emergency maintenence that takes place during JP primetime.... Nuff said.

Well.. for future reference and current you are in the Central Timezone and therefore 2 hours ahead of PST so when it is 900-1700 it is 1100-1900, translation 7:00 pm

Geez...a lot of whiners on this forum. Just listen to yourselves. Do you ever stop and think about just what the maintenance is for? Apperantly not. To thoes of you who dont know, the world of FFXI is an enourmous network of servers. As I have stated b4 in these forums, these things eventually have glitches, and they need to be repaired. Now...I don't know exactly how many servers there are...but each world is more than one...that I know. Either way...it's a lot of work. And it takes time. If they rushed the maintenance, just to appease you whining cry babys, more crap will go wrong, and there would be even more maintenance. So quit your whining and ******** and go find something else to do with your time. Go outside or something.

Oh, and to comment on this:

What do you mean prove you wrong? You offer proof for neither position. More Nippon players than NA players is known only by Square Enix. You're argument is ludicrous. Nonetheless, maintenance occurs in prime NA time, Pacific Time.

If there was parity in mind at Square Enix, they should spread the pain; let maintenance time revolve. If I were marketing manager I would inconvenience the least number of customers. Humm. NA it is.

In North America our objective must be parity.

Define "Prime" for me then.

Prime time for gaming, for me, is not in the middle of the day when *most* people are working. I'm glad that I can go to work, and when I get home, the update will be done, or almost done, and I can play during "prime" time, i.e. night.

Of course, if you don't go to school/work/other during the day, then this doesn't apply. But the fact remains that NA is not a minority in SE views. The only minority right now would be EU players, and that's b/c they just got their hands on it. The only people I see being majorly inconvienenced by using PST for maintainence is the EU players, since this happens during thier "prime" time, i.e. at night, when work and school are done. For other areas, it's just an annoyance.
