Ok, this is how it is. If u see it attack! But if ur Hp is way away from where u encounter it dont bother :) I fought it in Sth Gusta. alone then with alliance. It uses a blowback/warp attack that will place u in any area within ur HP (i.e HP in Bastok u could end up in markets, ports or mines)
it does NO damage! Huge life on it. limited time & number of ppl can get sash from ??? after it dies. No idea on how to get +1 sash as of yet.. It appears to pop randomly in a few diff places. In Sth Gusta it popped at H8/H7 on Vomp hill & down near fire pit, also L9 near lighthouse. Rare ex item, if anyone has info on what it is for pls drop a thread :) hope this helps :)

^^ I'm pretty sure I've figured out a part of this...
To keep from being punted back to your home point, just face away from the buffalo when it attacks you. Careful -- It'll turn you around a little bit each time.. Also, it might swerve around in front of you so you'll need to move.

I'm not sure about this being 100% accurate, but it worked for me several times when I tested it... I was lagging so I can't be sure if I was really facing away from it or not. Further testing would be apprechiated.

It does send you back to the city where in your HP is located. It will not send you straight to exact HP but in the area. I had HP in jueno got sent to jeuno. Changed my HP to sandy and bam always booted back to south sandy. You can physically damage it without magic. Bst and SMN have it easier in this if they sub thf and flee after sending a pet in. During one outing i did 2k+ damage to the Toro without even pullin out my axe. I'm still workin on how you get +1 version of sash.

I got a red sash on my first try! When the Toro dies, it leaves a ??? mark behind. Click it quickly! I think there's a limit to how many people can get the reward item.

I'll keep trying for the +1 version. :D

So we fight these things in town!? As you can tell from my name im a smn, and i dont know very many smns who can call their avatars in town O.O;;; I'v seen the ones in Lufaise Meadows and those ones are pretty nasty to a 48smn >.>

You guys do realize that this is an event and as such...everyone will be able to do it.

The buffalo will not be the same level as the ones in the UR. They'll be special event mobs so everyone can do the event.

Now to see what the rewards are....^_^
