Just wanted to post that you can get in now, if erratically. It just takes a ton of patience and a lot of hitting the back button whenever you get a bad screen (right click for that). I'm patching right now. 2 minute patch on a cable modem.

Heh, I got thru a long time ago.....seems like it was yesterday or something. Heh! I called them around 11 this morning after a full hour of trying to get subscribed.

I was greeted with the automated voice and her list of options, none of which were for SWG. I then went to the "Live Help" Chat room and the messages were boiler plate messages - nobody on the other end. Was obvious that my comments caused triggers with premade answers.

Still. This is minor considering all the fun we will have in the future..... How far in the future I dont know... hehe I'm not going to try for the rest of the day. I've wasted so much time sitting here. I think I'll go watch my fish tank for a while. I've accrued enough anxiety to last me the rest of the evening. Amazing how we allow a meezlie ole game to get under our skin.

I know...how kindergarden but so is all this whinin' we're doing.

When I get subscribed (LOL) I'm going to be a Twi'Lek. Groovy, lopsy-dopsy fleshy thingies hanging from the top of the skull are sort of sexy. And imagine how entertaining I will be when I become a performer. I'll be able to emprovise with twin tentacles.

Joking aside..I'm planning to be an entertainer with some knowledge in the arts as well as medical field... only to start. I'll dump the med stuff later.

LucasArts' online RPG reaches store shelves, but the servers aren't ready to let players subscribe.

Star Wars Galaxies has arrived in retail stores today, as scheduled. However, our attempts to log into the online servers have so far been unsuccessful. LucasArts had told us that the game would be live early this morning, but a post to the official forums by the game's community relations manager has confirmed that there's a hardware problem with the subscription servers. The post says that LucasArts expects to resolve this specific issue quickly.

We'll have more updates on Star Wars Galaxies soon.
