How to Win
We have a thread in the General WoW forums for the contest entries. All you have to do is post a response in the thread that states what you’re the most excited about in the new World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion. For example:

Playing as a Worgen.
All the new changes to old Azeroth. I can’t wait to see what it looks like!
The new talent changes. My class is going to be OP. QQ moar newbs.

We’ll be collecting entries for the next seven days, and on Monday August 2nd, 2010, we’ll be announcing all fifty winners of the giveaway and we’ll then send you your beta key for Cataclysm! It really is that simple. Just submit the part of Cataclysm you’re most excited about, and you're golden!

Please Note: You must enter your contest submission at the designated forum thread. Any comments on this article will not be counted as submissions.

Additional Note: Both Tankspot and Wowhead will be having their own beta key giveaways in the next few weeks, so make sure you check out our entire network family for all of your chances to win!

++ If you're an AddOn author WoWInterface has almost an unlimited number of keys to give away.

Rules and Qualifications

In order to use the beta key, you must have a WoW account in good standing.
Posts in the contest thread that are not contest submissions will be deleted.
Users may enter more than one Cataclysm item that they’re excited about, but only one entry will be counted per user.
We reserve the right to remove entries if we feel like you're not properly participating in the contest.
The contest begins on July 26th, and all winners will be announced on August 2nd, 2010.
The fifty (50) key winners will be drawn from the pool of eligible posters at the end of the entry period.

What I am looking for most in Cataclysm is the revamped questing from 1-60 and the new altered zones to explore.

As for my interests in the new races, I am leaning towards the goblins. Playing an undead warrior, I'm expecting the look and feel of the Worgin starting area to resemble what I'm used to. The Goblin starting quests may feel more fresh. Plus the Horde finally get an ankle-biter race to reek havoc on the alliance during PVP encounters, lol.

I'm looking forward to how DKs are going to be played and how the new talent trees are going to work. And I am looking forward to the back story of Tauren Pallies.

And lastly, being able to fly everywhere has been what we've been talking about forever and I'm glad to see that's finally being added to the game.

A grand farewell..

It will indeed be a grand farewell with the old Azeroth..

Ive been playing this game ever since it got out, its actually a great deal years ago now. Im amazed how far the game has gotten and what it has changed into. As happy as I am with all the new content, both The Burning Crusade, and the Wrath of the Lich King, nothing really compared to the experience of the old azueroth - an experience which so far has remained mostly intact. I still wander with my old friends into Molten Core, we still gather old level 60 epics, simply for the nostalgia in it.

Now it is all about to end and I can see myself giving the Azeroth i know a fair farewell, closing the chapter, moving on - saying farewell to the old demons, and hello to the new. And thats just what Cataclysm is to me, its both an expansion to look forward to, and a time of closure.

I look forward to leveling just one more character in old Azeroth. I look forward to reaching level 60 for the last time, in the old world, before it is torn apart. And.. I look forward to starring the beast straight into its eyes, as we throw it from its throne, as we have done time and time again.

But mostly, i look forward, to unfolding the true depths of Azeroths - all the hidden secret which now unfolds.

There are several things i am looking forward to in Cataclysm:
1. The 1st thing i will do is Fly up to the peak of Black Rock Mountain and claim it FOR THE HORDE.
2. The continuing development of lore through quests and changes.
3 Upgraded Orgrimmar and the devastated Stormwind lol@Alliance
3. The Worgen...hope we can skin them after we kill them. nothing like a Worgen pelt to keep you warm on those stormy nights.

I would explore the revamped areas of cataclysm and explore the starting zones and most important play on my hunter and learn to use him with the new focus and tame lots of pets :)

im want to test the new zone, the new worgen and goblin i cant wait till the cataclysm!
When i get a code i start a worgen and i see all new zone and do all quests :)
I Can't wait to see the new battleground,zone changes,worgen and goblin, fly in azeroth, the new talent, new quests, the mailstorm, the new dungeon, and Uldum.

I want to see how blizzard made the starting areas, i also wanna chech out barrens and ten thousand needles. I gonnna go for warrior or priest, and a goblin rouge. Then i wanna surprise my brother, he's the nicest. And archaeology.

i am most excited for everything cause i think blizzard does a great job and i have loved both expansions so far but the things i am most excited for are new warrior spells and gear i cant wait to see them and i can not WAIT for FLYING MOUNTS IN AZEROTH its going to be epic!

i am most excited for just everyting cause i think blizzard does a great job on all of it i cant wait to see the new warrior spells and the new warrior gear and i can not wait for......drum role please.......FLYING MOUNTS IN AZEROTH that is going to be amazing i can not wait to play in cataclysm and get to level 85 and do heroic deadmines and shadowfang keep.

What I am most excited about Cataclysm is the new revamped zones and new quests Blizz made a good job on making all the old zones more dynamic and makes you want to do all the quests! :) thats the reason why I am excited for Cata!

I'm excited for many things with the new expansion but mostly with the warlock changes. Soul Shards really needed the revamp IMO and it seems a lot better than it was before. The spell Demon Soul also seems pretty sweet and hopefully I will be able to enslave some random demon to use it with. "Soul Burn" really sounds fantastic and the combinations you can make are all pretty useful. One last thing before I go is that making CoA and CoD "bane" spells will definitely amplify their usefulness.

I want to play it, I look forward to anything put out for wow. I most of enjoy art and art work done in World of warcraft. I like challenges an anything that makes me think. A game is met to be thought about then enjoy. Not just going around showing or telling everyone I got to play the game before everyone else or my fav. Telling everyone info that can just miss up ppls thought of it. Those simply are the reason I want to play Beta, to see the art and challenges

It's looking like Blizzard is finally giving me and my holy brethren some new mechanics. I'm pretty stoked to see all the changes to our healing game, and a chance to test this would mean the world to me.

Exploring the refreshed old-content will be amazing as well. Although there will be zones that I'm going to miss.

I'm so pumped for the new Goblin class (Time is money friend!!), at last the Horde get a smaller class so we can be as small as gnomes and hard to click on in PvP =P. I am also looking forward to the stupidity of the Tauren paladin which i am sure will be dubbed 'Cowadin' or something equally as ridiculous.

I think that the new Azeroth that Blizzard is totally redoing will be good as well, as you don't often see many players in Azeroth (besides the main citys lol).

well my dad and I are interested and would like to play the new beta

my dad is very interested on seeing the new paly setup and wants to see how him as paly healer in cata will change and get him prepared to know what to do when its out.

I am interested on this because i have been playing as a frost dk tank my whole time Ive had it and now with it changing to blood as tank spec i also want to try out the new style of tanking and I would like to try out overpowering my tank with new talents.

I am also interested in playing the new worgen cause im die hard alliance and i always wanted ally to have a more scary, more strong looking character for alliance and worgen fits it perfect and i want to see the story cause most of stuff in wow never rly help me understand how worgen started and what happened.

As i said im die hard ally and i heard of the new bgs and i want to try it out so i can wope some horde.

lastly i want to experience to new zones as i say my final goodbye to the areas on wow now and see wats in store in cata.and i have a alt i recently made and i want to see the new low lv zones my alt will be going to.

I am looking forward to exploring the new world of Azeroth. I only just hit the level cap during Wotlk, and its an amazing feeling to be able to be max level when the new expansion comes out. I also and looking forward to downing Deathwing in Cata, and doing all of the new raids. I am really tired of running heroics and Icc pugs.
I can't wait to play as a midget on the horde side, gonna lava blast people in the face! I can't wait for new races and starting zones, also higher end content.
I have been trying to get a beta key since it was announced, but Blizz doesn't want to give me one, so you guys are my chance to play in the beta. Please let me play as a goblin in the beta.

P.S. Wowhead is the best

The reason i look forward to Cataclysm, is the new graphic, the changes to the world.. And i also have a hope about it will be better than the burning Crusade And Wrath of The Lich King. I've been playng World of Warcraft since the Burning Crusade got released, and allways hear "WoW: Vanilla" was the best version of World of Warcraft.This kinda annoys me because i missed it! and yes.. just waiting for the new expansion, and know it will improve the game at some points, like fetching high level zones into old continents inbetwean low level zones. I allso like the new races, the underwater zones and ofcourse DEATHWING! Heard about him for very long and heard alot about him in the world of warcraft history! Gonna be Epic!

Have wanted a beta key for a while now, and saw this good chance to get my claws in it.

Well, I'd like to get a chance to test the beta since I'm already an old lady and... I'd love to try it out before... I expire! :P

Oh and for if the emotional part doesnt work, I'd really love to test my pala out as a moving-healing-stream-totem, worth a try (or even more lol). Wonder how will the next dungeons be, the new races... y'know, I'm a explorer in the inside!

I 'Love' paladins and i need to see all new changes in new expansion...
First i need to see how its lvl difficult over 80 lvl.
Secont need to see pala new skills :)
Third need to see new main citys (ogri-undercity....)
also i would like to see new dungeons hc and normal aand some new items and new classes worder and goblins ( most goblins )
