Balance? Who needs balance in an MMO?

Last week in their bi-weekly WildStar Uplink discussion on Twitter, the Carbine community team posed a not-so-simple question to followers: What are your biggest frustrations with game balance in an MMO?

If you were one of the players who participated in The Lost Shores karka event earlier this month - and there were a lot of you - then we have good news. Well, it's good news in French, so we're sure it's good news in English, too.

The fine chaps over at BioWare want everyone to know that they're going to be hosting their second-ever Star Wars: The Old Republic LiveStream Q&A event very soon. Not only that, but they would like you to actually attend and participate in said event! Here's the info you need:

There's been no shortage of commentary on Guild Wars 2. Since its release in Augest, the good, bad and ugly have come from all angles. As a matter of fact, our very own Gazimoff recently posted his impressions of The Lost Shores event weekend. But rarely if ever has a professional game developer chimed in with his thoughts - until today.

Brian Green, more affectionately known as Psycholchild, is a long-time game developer, author and speaker, perhaps most notable for working on one of the earliest MMORPGs, Meridian 59. Green took to his blog today to render some of his first impressions after receiving Guild Wars 2 as a gift.

Though the official release of Darkfall: Unholy Wars has been pushed back, the team at Aventurine are doing their best to keep us hooked.

If you're a Guild Wars 2 player, you know that the Shadow of the Mad King event has all but taken over your gaming life this past week or so. Indeed, in true ArenaNet tradition, the gang from Seattle delivered a slam-dunk Tyrian world event to coincide with our own Earth-bound Halloween.
