Legion of Heroes: Mobile MMO With Heart

I'll admit I was skeptical of how an MMO would work on a phone. Nightmares of aged and horrendous UI designs from failed MMOs circled my dreams the night before I tried out Legion of Heroes, and I wasn't sure what I would face the next morning. The fears were put to rest upon starting this game from Nexon M, and I'll admit there were more surprises than expectations met.

Nexon Reports 36 Percent Growth For 3rd Quarter

According to an early press release, Nexon America is reporting that its revenue has increased by more than 36% in the third quarter. The team attributes this especially to their September growth, which saw revenue numbers jump by almost 44% in comparison to September 2008. In addition to this, according to the same time frame last year, the team also saw a 35% increase in July and a 32% increase in August.

Daniel Kim, CEO of Nexon America, notes that this growth is a "testament to the quality and accessibility of our [Nexon's] free to play games and the amount of new content we have been delivering to our customers." Kim also notes that they did not include any revenue generated by their recently released game, Dungeon Fighter Online, and therefore this growth comes purely from the success of MapleStory, CombatArms and Mabinogi.

Congratulations Nexon, and here's to more success in the Free-to-play MMORPG market!
