Fallen Earth Brings Nuclear Blast Records In-game

Fallen Earth has united with Nuclear Blast Records to bring music to the wasteland. A new bunker bar is set to be revealed soon and will house some hit metal tracks featured on Fallen Earth's very own Nuclear Blast Radio. Look for songs from several of the label’s artists including Meshuggah, Soilwork and Testament!

Fallen Earth Senior Game Designer Marie Croall said:

"We listen to so much of Nuclear Blast’s music at the office. This is an awesome opportunity to share our favorite music with our players."

According to developers, artists and tracks featured on Nuclear Blast Radio will cycle out periodically, offering a new variety for listeners.

Fallen Earth's February State of the Game Address

Fallen Earth Senior Game Designer Marie “Aro Sei” Croall has released her latest State of the Game address, and the bulk of it focuses on the patch that will be hitting the test server this month. The patch includes a long list of skill and mutation changes, as well as a new Scavenger Boss Area called Ruination and some economic improvements.

Croall also reminds players about the upcoming Gamer Girls Radio and Valentine's Day Massacre events. She also hints that they're working with a heavy metal record label to bring some bands to the wasteland.

To conclude the letter, Croall answers some questions from the community. She says that Progress Towns needed to go back to the drawing board for improvements and that subscriptions are "steadily growing." Check out the full letter for all the details.

Fallen Earth Thanks Players With Reward Points

Just because the holiday season is past doesn't mean that it's too late to say "thank you." Fallen Earth has decided to show their appreciation towards all their players by offering up bonus Reward Points. On February 15 the devs will be delivering 200 Reward Points to all current Fallen Earth subscribers. Fallen Earth has expressed how truly thankful they are for all the wastelanders out there, many who've been with the game since alpha.

This Reward Points bonus will apply to all accounts with a current subscription as of January 31, including accounts with current game time codes applied.

Fallen Earth Offers Alienware In-Game Item

Fallen Earth has partnered with Alienware to give registered Alienware Arena members an exclusive in-game item. Players must register for a free Alienware Arena account. Beginning next Monday, January 24, log in to your Arena account for a chance to pick up the Xenofire gun. Keys will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Xenofire is Fallen Earth's only gun that grows with players. It comes with its very own tech manual, allowing players to rework it every ten levels so that you never have to leave it behind. Plus, the free Alienware Arena account will give you the opportunity to join thousands of players from around the world in some awesome tournaments.

New Inventory Coming to Fallen Earth

Fallen Earth has announced that new items are coming to both the Fallen Earth Store as well as to Rewards Merchants. With the success of the addition of two character slots it seemed only natural to expand on the idea to bring Wastelanders additional pet and mount slots.

The Rewards Merchants will be offering a hot, new item, The Respirator. This stylish gas mask will provide resistances to acid, radiation, poison, disease and lower resistances to fire and cold.

No official date has been posted for the availability of these items, but Fallen Earth is boasting that everything is "coming soon."

Fallen Earth's January State of the Game Address

Fallen Earth's January State of the Game is exploring deeper into Sector 4. The team has been very busy entering into the new year wrapping up the effects portion of the combat revamp, releasing their first high-end group content, and preparing for the release of Sector 4 Alpha County. A series of improvements to the economy are also in the works.

Sector 4 is going to be released in four counties. The first of the counties, Alpha, will give players a look at what's behind the wall and why it was built. Alpha will also raise the level cap by 5 and introduce loads of new content when it's released in the second quarter of this year.

The state of the game also notes that a new patch will be coming in February. The new patch will include:

  • The Scavenger Boss system which introduces new bosses and encounter areas as well as recipe rewards for high-level players.
  • The first pass at the economic fixes – we're adding more auction house NPCs and looking at component drop rates first.
  • Skill and mutation balancing – Our systems team lead, Sarah, is hard at work bringing the skills and mutations into line with the physical combat changes.
