Following Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand's confirmation to VideoGamer.com earlier this week that Assassin's Creed Unity will run at 900p and 30fps on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Ubisoft released a clarification explaining more in depth how they came to the decision to lock at that resolution.
In the last two months, Ubisoft has made a push to bring Assassin's Creed to mobile, free-to-play.
In August, this took form as the misguided Assassin's Creed: Memories, a "multi-faceted experience blending card battle, RPG, and strategy gameplay." That's putting it generously. In September, a ship-wrangling Assassin's Creed: Pirates was released – and it doesn't look half-bad! Here in October, we've got Assassin's Creed: Identity on iOS and Android.
On November 11th, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be able to dive into the story of Shay in the upcoming Ubisoft release, Assassin's Creed Rogue. This time you'll be taking on the unique position of transitioning from The Brotherhood into the Templars while hunting down other assassins in the northern Atlantic region.
Ubisoft has released their first teaser sneak peek video for their Holiday 2014 next-gen title, Assassin's Creed Unity. Check it out!
Did you know that the word “duck” not only refers to the animal, but also to sail canvas? Who said that video games couldn’t be educational?!
A few months ago I didn’t even consider the fact that I would play an Assassin’s Creed title. My normal gaming genres are MMO, RPG, strategy, puzzle and a variety of Indies. I’ll occasionally break the mold for games such as the Grand Theft Auto series, but the AC titles never got my attention in the past. As increasingly more PlayStation 4 launch titles became delayed, I decided to give Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag a chance.
I honestly thought that AC4 would be a game I’d tinker around in for a few hours before leaving it abandoned for my husband to play. Instead I’ve played it at least 4-6 days each week since getting my PS4. Yeah, you can say I’m a bit addicted. Let me tell you a story of my love-hate-love relationship with Edward Kenway.

Fony's rendition of the Assassin's Creed trailer is... well, let's just say you need to see it for yourself.
