I'm glad I watched the film first, then the episode of SHIELD. Saturday at 12:40pm, not many people in the theater, maybe 12 total.
Some *** behind me turned on the flashlight on his camera or video camera on his phone about an hour in or so, and lit up half the seats around me. I flipped him off and he turned it back off.
Half the people (one group, together) left at the beginning of the first credits, missing the scene with Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, I assume? Not a big follower of the comics.. The *** with the camera left at the beginning of the second credits. I stuck around til the end. 2nd after credit scene was meh.

Finally went to see it. Not sure if I agree with Moviebob that it was the best movie in the MU, but damn if it wasn't a close second.

As long as the seat isn't too uncomfortable, and the projectionist knows his job, I don't really care about much else. When sitting in a dark room surrounded by strangers, I tend not to worry about the aesthetics too much.

Hah. Try it once and you'll change your mind. It's not about aesthetics. It's about guaranteeing that your seat is comfortable and that no one's head is blocking your view. And giving you a pretty decent chance that there wont be loud kids or teens bothering you during the film (guaranteed if you go to the 21+ theaters). The call buttons with seat side service for food and drink (and some pretty decent food too) is really just a bonus.
I drank a nice tall glass of beer and sat in a reclining leather seat while watching Captain America 2. So nyah!

Unless you've only been to the movies a handful of times, I find it amazingly unlikely you've never once had a tall person sit right in front of you (after the theater has filled up sufficiently that you can no longer move of course), or a family with screaming kids sit nearby, or a gaggle of teens who think that everyone in the theater is really more interested in their conversation than the film they paid to see, nor ever sat in a theater with poor leg room and/or narrow seats. If that's actually the case, then good for you, and by all means save the few bucks and enjoy the show.
But for the rest of us, who live in the real world where the movie going experience is regularly marred by obnoxious twits, paying a bit extra to avoid that is well worth it.
